Redundancy my ass, but still: I can confirm this as well. Finally got if from the chest just on the left in the first room of Unadine Grotto after about 10 minutes of reloading.

Well I would post how the Dalish scout and Warrior armor look like on a male but it seems that it doesnt let me use the image upload feature :/ Tried imgur and google+ but I got the restriction for both.

For everyone still farming: There isn't much hope for you after a few hours. I was only able to get that armor in a single playthrough. Maybe there's another RNG system included in the RNG system that randomly generates if certain armors even spawn at all?

 

It's really frustrating. If you use RNG, Bioware, please make it spawn every armor all the time.

I found it in the Still Ruins in The Western Approach. I'm not sure if it increases the chance and like I said before, it's also likely not to appear at all. With luck you can get it, I just wouldn't waste too much time.

I must be really unlucky then because it didn't show up ingame for me then and I've done like 2 playthroughs so far... If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't even know that the armor model existed ingame.

 

I'm VERY FRUSTRATED because farming for it is a total waste of time..... I don't understand why isn't it a dragon drop at least to save us from the pain of looking for it.

I did scoff when I came across the Dalish Warrior armor schematic because I have zero companions that can use it. Dwarson's pass eh ? I missed that chest, but It's not too late to farm it at level 17 is  it ? My only chance is the Still Ruins now... I've also tried farming the chests in Hinterlands from the dragons location, but still no luck. I think this dalish armor has like a 10% chance of showing up as does your dwarf schematic.

I got lucky again, only that I can't use it now on my Qunari. Still Ruins again, same chest. You may have luck!

I'm so frustrated right now..... So I've wasted an hour farming those damn chests and NOTHING. What I noticed is that certain things respawn a lot more than others. I mean that in like 50 attemps the antivan daggers, orlesian armors spawned like 20 times at least and so did other worthless junk items which makes me think that this dalish amor has a very low drop rate. Have you tried the lottery ? You must be really lucky to get the armor TWICE.  

 

My last chance is are the Still Ruins... or the Grotto, but I cannot farm the chest in that upper room ? If I save an reload there but chest doesn't respawn like in the ones in the Hinterlands.

I found the schematic in  one of the last chests in that cave that opens up after you do the "Red Templars on the Storm Coast" mission.

 

It was the "chest" that looked like a vase, right before the boat to

Incredibly annoyed - wasn't even looking for it, found it obviously by "luck" on my Human Mage.

That's not surprising.... I've noticed that when I play a mage the mage armor drops are very low and I find a lot warrior and rogue armors I don't need, but when I play a rogue or warrior, I find a lot of mage armor and not many warrior armors.   In my rogue PT finding some decent gear was a pain  until I reached level 10+. But even after level 10 the percentage of warrior and mage stuff was a lot higher. Had to kill 10 giants in the emerald graves to find some reinforced hunter armor.

Don't read me wrong; I haven't gotten that armor in one playthrough twice as it's a schematic

But you still managed to get it twice...even if you were not looking. Funny because I realized that this applies for daily life also.. You find things when you are not looking for them.

I was really lucky. I received it chest farming in the Hinterlands before I even had Skyhold. However, There are no upgrades for arms or legs. Therefore I was a little disappointed especially since this is so sought after. Is this Warrior armor a lot better than others where you can do the upgrades?

can elf mages equip it without silverite, I don't really want to wait till emprise du lion to wear it and if so can I get silverite earlier

I think you do need silverite for a mage to equip it through normal means in the game. If you're on PC, there's a mod to remove class restrictions: http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/169/?

 

I have not used it myself, but I have seen screenshots of dwarves attacking with staves as a result of the limitations being removed.

I farmed the still ruins and of course I had zero luck again.... every worthless piece of junk spawns in those damn chests but the NOOT THE ARMOR.

 

 

Looking for it is worthless. If you are lucky good for you, if not... well that's how it is. Wasting hours to farm some gotdamn chests for this armor is not worth it.

 

Hopefully we will have these hard to find items at the  black emporium.

Hey community!

 

I searched everywhere for an answer to the question stated in the title. I know that this schematic exists but I don't know where; And I already did the ruin quest in the Exalted Plains as some hints to just reset your game went in that direction.

 

I really wanted to use that armor on my elf character since DA2. What can I do to obtain it?

 

Edit: Solution: In order to get the schematic you need to have the Still Ruins in the Western Approach still unexplored. Now just go through it (don't take the staff!), loot every chest except for one item and the leave the place. Re-enter the ruin and repeat until the schematic shows up.

I played every area, and found Dwarven Legion of Dead (heavy), and the Elven hevay armor as well.. Unfortunately, i was on a Qunari Mage./. With no hevay dwarf or elf in party, ill never know what they look like  ..

What ? The Ravager drops the Keeper robe schematic....

I just got the Dalish Warrior armor from a chest in the Chateau d'Onterre. Not that I have any use for it. I wish the keeper robe schematic would be buyable or possible to get from a chest, instead of from a freaking dragon, though.

By the time you get the Keeper robes, you are most likely near the end of your playthrough... I'm hoping that the black emporium will have these RNG rare schematics like the Dalsih Warrior.
