I have one axe with 142 dmg and just got another with 144 dmg... bug, or do all weapons with the same name have random stats?

A range of damage of about 2-5 base damage is common even among same names items with same level.

All item stats may have a small variance on named weapons and armor.  One dagger may have an 8% crit while another will have 9% crit.
