I feel really dumb for asking this but do I actually need an Xbox Live account to use the Cerberus Network? My 360 is hooked up to the internet, I just dont have a Live account. So is the Cerberus network independent or will I have to dish out another 50 bucks to get my in game bonuses?

Just a Silver (which is free). DLC stuff like this is valid through the standard Silver accounts. Gold is only for online multiplayer stuff (mostly).
