I don't think anyone is angry. Annoyed would be a better word. If you like to sit at the title screen, and listen to the music while the mages and templars march, it's pretty distracting.

It's honestly just so ugly. It looks like a pop-up you get if you're not using adblock.

How else are you to be reminded that an event is on?

It only appears for people who have made a multiplayer character.

Without it I would not have known that the Axes and Staves were out this weekend.

Well, that guarantees I'm not even going to try MP out of curiosity.

I seriously don't need popups in my games.  Even the main menus.

Especially with the SLI flicker.

I just had a thought - for those getting the ad's, is your Origin in-game overlay enabled or disabled?

I've had the Origin in-game overlay disabled since I got the game (disabling it in DAI gained me 5-10 fps in the benchmark). I'm wondering if that is what is causing you to get the ads while I'm not? Since obviously it has nothing to do with actually doing any multiplayer.

To test, if your Origin in-game overlay is on... right-click DAI in Origin, go to "Game Settings" and tick the box "Disable Origin overlay" - once disabled, start the game and see if your still getting the advertisement or not.

Origin in-game overlay might also explain why the advertisements look like something stuck on the screen - because that's basically what it is (if it's the overlay causing it).

I think it's sad people are getting angry over it. It's a friggin add. it's not effecting your game is any way.

Give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Unless you want their daemons to start scouring your PC for all your personal details so it can tailor ads for you, you should start protesting now.

It's slightly irritating and I would prefer it wasn't there......but that's about it.

To be honest Iakus, I wasn't expecting to see you in the MP lobbies

BW have committed to ongoing MP event support and DLCs - they have to tell people about them somehow.

(I'm no longer convinced that these appear only to people who have opened MP, I have conflicting information on that, it could well be everyone)

If they keep them factual and to the main menu I see no harm in it.

Or maybe we should suggest to EA to have a rolling banner with your MP stats at the bottom of your SP screen?     Ok bad idea  :D

It will bother me if I go up the Cassandra.

"Have you got any advice?" asks the Inquisitor.

"Try the Multipalyer," replies Cassandra. "We have agents just crying out to go on missions but you are not sending them."

If that happens then I'll get annoyed.

You guys need to relax. Load your game up and you move on and don't see it anymore. Jeez. The things people will complain about.
