Now that's a deadly weapon.
"mighty", powerful, is the word you're looking for, I think.
It can be loaded with information, truth, dreams, or the most devastating of them all, ideas.

I think a whole lot of BSN'ers would be perfectly valid weapons. Some for better motives than others.
Why couldn't these guys have been in the films more? They look so badass and evil! Their weaponry and armor has an awesome, if somewhat impractical design.
Ancient Chinese Bronze sword:

Awesome. Bronze age weapons were awesome, it's sad that they're now mostly rusty.
I am a man of odd tastes. I like my asian style swords, katanas, jians, the various types of daos from tang to miao. I can't help but feel that western swords have been undervalued in modern times. For myself, a saber is a better sword then a katana any day.
Like this specimen, a supposed grenadiers sword from the nepolionic era. I enjoy some flash and flare in a weapon, along with a good aesthetic choice.

Though I admit, something more like this would be cooler to own and use.

One of the greatest weapons ever:

is this a dagger of giants or something? The hilt is so long!
My guess would be an execution sword.
Mosin Nagant is most glorious weapon.

No ammo? No problem! Works as a club, and can also be used as a spear.
And you can own one for a measly $150.

Nope, just depleted uranium that can penetrate up too 5 inches of steel armor. That Gatling gun is way underpowered. It doesn't even have the option to fire tiny nuclear warheads.
But...using a sword like a baseball bat is the ONLY REALISTIC way to fight other people.
I don't know what this is, but it's obviously false.
Polearms were useless, everyone used swords! Just look at Hollywood!
Ah, of course! How could I forget Hollywood's wonderful examples!
Lindybeige can be hilarious at times.

Edit- i should probably add, its a p227.
The most cruel, intimidating, killing tool that mankind has ever devised.

Island natives cut from their Fatherland in the west. What did you expect?!

That is the most that can happen to a bronze sword. The reproduction below will get a beautiful patina in some time, taking a very pretty gold color.

The Bronze Age also spanned to Egypt, where the wondrous Khopesh was born.

This geezer makes the ones I posted. He's a cool geezer.

The Partisan.
That is a particularly fancy example, but it really defines what a great polearm this was. Medieval era.
I'll just leave this here...
