This may count as a small spoiler but I haven't finished the game yet so I'm not heading over to the spoiler section. Anyone know if there's a possible glitch with one of these? It involves finding three rock quarries and I've found three in one area alone but the quest still says I've only found two. Anyone else had this problem?

It might be glitched. Try finding another quarry in a different area.

I ran into a quarry that never properly acknowledged the claim for it would never stay claimed, but at that time I had found enough quarries elsewhere that I never noticed if it increased the quest counter or not.

I'm hoping that's what happens for me. I'm forty hours in now. I don't think I'll restart unless it impacts how the game turns out. I think having an upgraded tower in a fortress would be important.

The upgrade menu says they're all cosmetic. I'm not much farther so I can't say either.

I found two more quarries last night and was able to get that last upgrade so it wasn't a glitch. Evidently once you use the quarries you've found they become depleted.

Yes. They're the same as any other requisition resource.

I just "bought" that 3 quarry upgrade, but I can't find where I get to make the choice of what it will be. I found the other two upgrade nodes in Skyhold after I bought the other ones, but not this one, for some reason.

I couldn't find it either at first. It's on one of the battlements overlooking the main entrance from the courtyard I believe. If you're looking at the entrance to the main hall when you first arrive at Skyhold after fast travelling it's to your right up top if I remember correctly.
