it seems that banter follows a certain order?
is it dependent on what was said before (e.g. banter a, b, c, d, e) or where in the story youre currently at?
Im switching parties a lot, but this kinda speaks against that?

some lines have an order they follow, some are only triggered depending on what you have done recently.
but otherwise, there is no "real" order from what I've noticed

I do notice that the main order of party banter seems to move further along as you do story missions and as those party members spend more time together. They seem to have certain lines they must get through first before they get to others they would say later on.
At least that is what i have observed.
There are banters that are in order. For example, there is a banter between Vivienne and Varric about a book Varric is writing, where a character is based on Vivienne. I have listened to at least 3 banters talking of the same thing, and they are in order.
I think there are two categories of banter.
1. Smalltalk and chatter.
2. Quest and time related dialogues.
They are mixed accordingly.
