On my first playthrough for a DA game and i have been farming for this for my mage in cradle of sulevan and that dungeon in empris du leon. Havent beat any main story missions after you reach skyhold like here lies the abyss.
How do you get Superb Medium Armor of Dragon?

You're given Superb schematic versions of the Dragon equipment later in the game at the same spot you get the standard schematics from after reaching Skyhold. If you haven't gotten them yet, just do story missions, and the chest should eventually have them.

Ok thanks ill start Here lies the abyss then. But not sure where that chest is in skyhold but ill look for it.

The chest is at Undercroft. And I think that the superb version of the dragon equipment is given after completing either one of the two main missions that appear when you reach Skyhold (Here Lies the Abyss or Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts)

I think it must be both, as I am level 19 and have done Abyss, but not Wicked Eyes. So it is either after finishing both, or after Wicked Eyes.
