I've never seen Thom without his beard before this. I usually don't like beards but oh my, I have to say he looks way better with it than without it. But that's just my personal opinion.  Would love to see a cropped version, though. Too bad it's not possible, I think.

 I've never seen Blackwall romance a lady dwarf Inquisitor... Was she sitting on the railing the whole time, or did he pick her up and kiss her? 

Neither. I think they were too cheap to do a mo-cap of three different heights for IQ (dwarf vs. human/elf vs. qunari), so they just use the human scale mo-cap and then adjust the top of the head of the IQ to wherever that would be on the human model. Result: dwarves float up, qunari scrunch down.

I also did the Dorian romance with a Vashoth and some of the cutscenes were unintentionally hilarious as my IQ would scrunch down to be the same height. No screenshots of that, though, would be great for this thread.

I was talking to a friend about how tall Bruce is for a Lavellan and showed her some pics. These here a kind of old, but I thought I'd share them with you too.

You know, I actually had to wonder for a moment where the heck Thom is in that picture. He doesn't look at all himself. But the stubble is definitely better than clean-shaven, that's for sure. And the hair... he looks 20 years younger.

There's a mod for that, too. Apparently, if you take his beard off without altering his face mesh, he's got a really short beard underneath. It's like those Russian nesting dolls!

 

Before I discovered the mod PapaCharlie9 linked, I was using the Riker-short beard mod together with this mod, and it almost made him look too young to be there.

I've never used mods in DAI but I was actually looking at the mod manager yesterday because my sister would like to use them and asked for my help. Still, it said that CC mods still won't necessarily work with JoH and Black Emporium, let alone with Trespasser. There was also crashes to be expected in JoH. That kinda made me abandon the idea of using it.

(Yeah, mods are a bit dodgy with the DLC, but I'm installing/uninstalling mods all the time, so I don't mind too much. Rule of thumb: if it changes anything about the face, head, or hair, it won't work. And there's that one cutscene in Descent that won't work if you have ANYTHING installed. But 99% of the game? I use mods.)

I almost raged but reloading the save luckily fixed it.

 

Good to know. I think I'll wait until the mod manager get properly updated because I would love to have longer hair for my qunari.

For whatever reason, my game didn't crash during that cut scene last time, even with mods. I was shocked, and very happy that I didn't have to exit, unmod, reload, play the scene, save, exit, remod, and reload again. Saved me a ton of time.

This is a glitch that can happen, if the Inquisitor before your Lavellan, is a Qunari.

My first Inquisitor was a female Adaar, I finished JoH and the main game with her before I created Bruce and somehow the game thinks now, he needs the height of a female Qunari (well, minus the additional height for the horns )

I think it's Bruce's hair sticking up so far it makes him look taller. It's even poofier than Cullen's.
