The game needs a DLC eventually that does three things.

1. Has a Skyhold seige (We get an awesome castle and it never gets attacked? That's the point of a castle!)

2. Has plenty of dialogue between our party and for the Inquisitor.

3. Expands even more on the LI's.

Who agrees?

I don't believe Inquisition/the Inquisitor has enough of an emotional bond with the player to even begin to facilitate a Citadel-like DLC.

Citadel was a going away party for someone you knew really well for almost a decade. How does Inquisition fit that?

A Citadel DLC wouldn't really work with the Dragon Age protagonist formula. Unless it was strictly about the Inquisition cast, I guess, or they brought back the Warden and Hawke again too.

That's exactly the idea. I mean just having the Inquisition cast.

I see.

I just always thought the draw of the Citadel DLC was reconnecting with the old faces too, which wouldn't really work.

I've never been one to care for that aspect of it. Especially old PCs. If I had my way they'd never appear in a game.

I am very keen on this idea.

I don't think there's any need to bring back characters from previous games, although I wouldn't say no to a cameo if it fit the story. I just want to spend more time with the Inquisition crew.

The style of this would be similar to Citadel, but not the same. We are not saying goodbye to all of these characters like in Citadel, but there were parts of Citadel that would work well with this cast.

Only way a Citadel-style DLC would work, I think, is if they got all DA protagonists in one and a Mabari Hound as the fourth party member. Citadel worked so well because of player-character attachment. It's also a love letter to the fanbase. There isn't enough connection to Inquisition - not a slight against the writing or characters, just that players went through so much with the ME cast.

Although, all three ME games come to  ~100 hours, while Inquisition was 100 hours too, so...

You need a better premise than taking a break while galactic annihilation is going on.

citadel like premise..... Inquisition forces are used to beseige a place/help an ally/go on parade in val royeaux. after you conclude the events the inquisitor receives a raven from Lelianna calling them back to skyhold post haste. ancient order of assassins has inflitrated skyhold in the midst of a horrible blizzard(keeps your troops from coming back and ruining the buddy-cop movie atmosphere) and have opened a hidden door in the dungeons/found a way into the heart of the mountain and are on the hunt for something awesome. fill in the blanks with awesome action sequences(defend Skyhold proper Via HomeAlone tactics and with rotating companions) or intriguing bits of lore , or both! :P and then the fight ends with the inquisitior and co facing down the big bad of the DLC (my personal wish is a high dragon caged and used to power a forge, adds new options to the crafting menu etc becuase goddamn do we need improved crafting) and return to skyhold proper in time for thedas's equivalent of christmas with BLackWall as santa Claus!! you get to do all the corny stereotypical chrismas stuff and then kiss your LI under mistletoe. theres my idea lol

Did we play the same Citade DLC?

My question is did we play the same Inquisition game? If you played it all the way through, you should be as attached to these characters as those in ME as far as I'm concerned :)

Well if they're ever going to do a DLC Citadel kind of dlc for DA:I. Then it should let us see our Hawke and the whole party crew from DA2 and our Warden and the whole crew from DA:O and then just have fun, seeing them interact with each other, talk with all of them, having unique dialogs.

and maybe before the party part, when all the companions from DA:O and DA2 with DA:I are gathered, the keep would be attacked and a story around it would play out and we would be able to choose which one from all the three games we want it our party for the mission and while we as the player are going through with our part of the mission, we should be able to see the other parties through fun little comments to each others.

Shepard was a much more defined character, as was his/her relationship with the crew. Also that was a story that had spanned nearly 6 years.

It wouldn't really work with this I don't think. Also, too much fanservice erodes artistic integrity and creativity.

The OP perhaps put too much emphasis on the DLC being Dragon Age: Citadel. What the OP seems to want is story DLC that involves a raid on the Keep, sounds fun to me!

^ What he said, but with follower quests and such. I remember Merrill getting NO dlc quests and that was dumb as heck.

I really doubt you became as attached to the DAI characters in one month as you did the ME characters over the course of five years. It feels like you're just overcompensating because you believe I'm attacking the game or something.

They could manage it, though it wouldn't be quite the same as the Citadel, and for it to be more lighthearted in style it couldn't be limited to the Inquisition group we see.  Have it be like a formal ball which might somehow suck in many of the previous characters.  For example, the Grand Tourney would allow some interesting gameplay opportunities while allowing many old characters to return.  Have the chance to bring in Hawke, the Inquisitor, and the Warden/Commander (if alive) all in one go (points if you can even choose which to play).  Then bring in a bunch of old characters for fun. Zevran, Isabela, Fenris, Aveline, Bethany/Carver, Oghren, Shale, the surviving Warden character (if one survived).  Set it as a backdrop for a meeting between leaders and you have an excuse to bring in Sten, the rulers of Ferelden and Orlais (and a chance, perhaps, for Alistair to participate in the tourney - and the interesting potential to see him face off against Loghain, not to mention the potential for Anora to confront Celene about Cailan), and the new Divine.  Could make for a very interesting and amusing series of interactions.

It can be interesting. It should be part of the bioware rpg formula. Why not? They make all these characters that fans love. Why not make an optional DLC just for the inquisition to relax and let the characters loosen up a little. Everyone is all so serious (except for Sera). Bring everyone back, one big happy merry family.

The Citadel DLC was rubbish for ME3 as it had nothing to do with the game so hope they create something better for DAI.
Please create something that is part of the game world.

I agree with the OP, a Citadel style DLC would be amazing. More chance to bond with these awesome characters. Especially Dorian and Bull xD for sexy times!

Skyhold under siege can be a different DLC entirely, I for one would love a Citadel-Like DLC where we attend an Orlesian Ball in celebration of our successful Inquisition, thrown by whoever came out on top in Wicked Eyes, so we get some different DLC based on our choices, just a little.

During the ball, we get to speak to our companions, uncover noble's plots great and small, dance, eat (why not) and uncover as assassination attempt on our Inquisitor. before we would attend, we'd have an opportunity to explore parts of Val Royeaux which is something a few people disappointed with only the market have been asking for.

And for the love of the maker, give us and our companions UNIQUE outfits for the ball. I can't believe people like Vivienne and Josephine and Dorian downgraded their clothes to wear that Nutcracker uniform.

The Inquisitor is not Shepard this batch of characters was great but there's no way they could pull off a Citadel style DLC.

Citadel was the send off not only for Shepard (rip) but for the franchise as we know it.

You can't replicate those final moments.
