Way back in DRAGON AGE ORIGIONS I did a play through with a female warrior character (Lefsexieta) where I spared Logain, executed Alistar, made Logain a Grey Warden, Logain had a god child with Morrigan, and Logain killed arch demon and died. When I tried setting this set this up on Dragon's keep my choices seemed to be nulled and voided because they would be changed to things like "Logain is alive and well" or "Morrigan did not have old god child".

Frankly this isn't to much of an issue but I found it odd that I couldn't set it up the way I did the actual played my character.

Btw I haven't tried it yet but I did have a character in Dragon age 2 (Vatoria/Warrior) that romanced Anders but killed him. Will the "romance Anders" force me to having "Anders alive and well"? Reason why I ask I remember in Dragon Age 2's epilouge Varric said "Hawke and Anders lived on happily afterwards" or something even though my Hawke (Vatoria) did kill Anders.

If Morrigan gets her ritual, it's not possible for someone to die killing the Archdemon. (That's the entire point of the ritual.)

To answer the anders question, you can romance him yet kill him in the end. The Keep will allow this.

I forgot to mention Morrigan left my group back in Dragon Age Origins. It was quite the pickle fighting the Arch Demon without a mage (Wynne was killed in DAO).

I cannot remember the circumstance of my whole setup but I remember Logain having the child and Logain dieing. Maybe what I actually did was not let Morrigan have a child with Logain and have Logain die? I don't remember.

I do admit it's been a long time since I did that playthrough and i did have my Dalish elf warrior not allow Morrigan to have a child and let her fled and my dalish elf warden did kill the arch demon and die.

Yeah, it's not possible to do the Dark Ritual and have someone die killing the Archdemon. Heck, if you do the ritual, the Warden automatically gets the killing blow, no matter who's in your party. So I think you had your playthroughs confused.

This. ^^^^

Morrigan ragequits and abandons the Warden if you refuse the Ritual so if you were really without a mage, then there was no Ritual and no OGB. But if there is no Ritual and no OGB, then the Warden will always die, and Loghain (or Alistair,as may be) will survive.

Whoever takes the killing blow dies. The HoF can survive without the DR

You are right... I forget that not everyone plays the same as I do, especially before my third cup of tea. Mea culpa. (I'd never recruit Loghain, and Alistair dying in that way is not an option as far as I'm concerned, so for me, no Ritual = Warden dies. )

In any event, there is still no way to agree to Morrigan's ritual, have her leave the party, and have Loghain kill the Archdemon in the same game. (Even the way I play. :-/)

Even though King Alistair will ask you to let him take the killing blow to thank you and that he sees it as the best act a king can do for his country? How selfish! :P
