Ok so I reintalled. Ran the game without changing the settings and it worked. I also downloaded the software from adobe what ever that was. I also found that windows firewall was blocking something and it asked me if it wanted to unblock it.

Im off to try and download the DLC and see if it will work again.

Also attempting a re-install. I'd rather play without DLC than not at all.

Have the same issue. Will attempt to reinstall. Hopefully it is all kosher after this.

After reinstalling, it may be an issue with the Adobe AIR. DO NOT REFUSE THE INSTALL. I am attempting DLC installs to make sure that the problem was the AIR application, and not corrupted content installation.

It's definitely the AIR application.

Make sure that during the install, you allow the installer to install the Adobe AIR connectivity software, or the game will fail with the awc.dll error. Problem solved. Thanks crappy installer.

Surely by now, D2D has a FAQ on their site about the failures of their digital version!

We had a sticky here for awc.dll errors. It went missing apparently. I'll look into getting it re-stickied
