Okay so first of all I have no idea if this link is going to work but if it does then please say so.

http://www.behindgam...n-male-mage.png

Okay so yeah, follow that link and you should get a picture of the Inquisitor in Mage gear, only you're never going to get him or her to look like that. I hate to say this but anyone who's looking for those specific arm upgrades will never find them, just found out today during my second playthrough that they're heavy armor exclusives, if you want those they're called Battlemaster Coat Arm and like I said they can only be equipped to heavy armor.

So if you've been looking for that specific look sorry but you're not gonna get anywhere, trust me I've tried.

Funny, cause my Human mage ended up looking like that.

Craft the armor with Silverite (?) or w/e the class restriction removed material is. Then you can wear it on your mage. It will still take the heavy armor upgrades as well so you can get the shoulders and gloves and boots.

According to this pic I saw in another thread, mages can have that armor upgrade:

This ^.  You need to use Silverite when crafting Heavy Armor to remove the class restriction.  That way, a Rogue or a Mage can also wear the armor.  IIRC you can purchase the Superior Battlemaster Armor Schematic, from the Mabari Merchant (Hissing Wastes), if you have the Short List Perk.  I have the Superior Battlemaster Coat Schematic, but I don't recall where I got it.

Um... no.

The BATTLEMAGE COAT looks the same as the PROWLER COAT which looks the same as the BATTLEMASTER COAT arm and leg pieces.. go farming and you will find the pieces..

This is what the SUPERIOR BATTLEMASTER COAT armor looks like

As bioware has stated, most armors avaliable ('most') are useable by the character and can be crafted. Just because you cannot find it does not mean, it is not there.
There has been threads detailing such things, and threads to schematic farm. The game will not give you stuff on a platter unless you work for it.

As above, his outfit is proof it exists, and i can gaurentee it exists in my save files aswell.

So the ruffle shoulders thing is something I can get from the Hissing Wastes merchant?

1. The armor is a "coat" variant. Any of the long coats will work (needs to have "coat" in the name.
2. The helm is the Inquisitor's Helm which can be worn by any non-Qunari.
3. The shoulder pieces come from the arm slot. Those are the "Battlemage/Prowler/Battlemaster COAT Arms." Make sure the schematic says "coat," and not "mail," or "armor."

May I ask what base coat piece that is? I find it strange that the superior battlemaster coat has leather chest protection whilst the one in your image has scale meshing.

It's the basic Vanguard Coat. The other Coats just add bits on top of it as they get higher tiered.

Sturdy Vanguard Mail: Vanguard Coat plus vest and neckerchief.

Battlemaster Coat: Vanguard Coat plus gold sash.

Sturdy Battlemaster Coat: vest, neckerchief and sash.

There might also be a Superior Battlemaster Coat but I've never had that Schematic drop so no idea how it differs.

I'd have to tell you that you didn't try very hard.. It might take a while for RNG to drop the coat arms but they ARE available for every class in Light, Medium or Heavy variants...

Here's a link should you want one = http://dragonage3.wi....com/schematics

What mats do you guys use to get these colors. I used dragon and wyvern stuff and got some blue and orange monstrosity.

Superior battlemaster coat is the one im my image. It was the only one I actually found that was superior.

Tier 3 Mats mainly. Stormheart for the pearlescent silver. Silverite or Everite for regular looking metal. Volcanic Aurum and Dragon Bone for Gold. There's Dawnstone too, but it's metalic pink

Best Tier 3 hides are Snoufleur Skin which is a rich brown. Great Bear Hide which is a matt umber and Dragon Hide which looks a lot like off-white snake skin. Lurker Scales offer a nice deep green and go well with Everknit Wool.

Also, the masterwork piece (if you add one) will override the colour of cloth/leather/metal part of the crafted gear (depending on whether the masterwork component is cloth/leather/metal itself) So you can sometimes get away with using meh coloured base materials.

Umm... and the unavailable armors are 10 times better looking than the available ones. ;)
