I downloaded my copy of ME2 and got the emails for my promo items, congrats on preorder, etc.   However, like all games, I'm prompted to input a registration code...never received taht in any of my emails, though.  I was wondering if anyone else has this issue/knows what's going on with this?

I searched on forums...someone seems to be having same issue with D2D, was curious if anyone was having it with gamestop.

Contact Gamestop support.

My girlfriend and I called Gamestop support three times; the first two times they hung up on us, the third time they told us that it was all Trymedia's fault and we'd have to wait for them (Trymedia, not Gamestop) to e-mail out the registration codes.

Going to Trymedia and attempting to have them "resend my activation code" to the e-mail you purchased the game with results in them sending you a long string number... This is NOT a Mass Effect 2 CD key, it is an activation code to go to Trymedia and "unlock" the Mass Effect 2 downloader. Thus leaving you exactly where you started.

Has anyone been provided with a solution? Experiences from gamestop/trymedia support emails generally means over a 24 hour wait, which is a bit ridiculous for a problem on THEIR end.

Same problem here. I also have a second game order pending from gamestop which I did not make (says 9:30 am), anyone else experiencing this as well?

I have this same problem, went through Gamestop support et al. Luckily enough for all of us who downloaded the digital version BY Gamestop THROUGH some random company, all sales of games published by EA are final. I want my CD code, asap. I sent a message to Trymedia, but have not received anything yet. I really hope they don't just send a code to re-download the game like Blank.

UPDATE:  I received an email from Trymedia stating "Your question has been received. You should expect a response from us within 24 hours." Will update when more is revealed.

Yes I got that as well, another question which they are taking their sweet time to answer.

Same problem here. Sent a message to trymedia. No response yet.

Regarding the second game order pending, I believe that trymedia displays the various states of the order as if they were different orders (e.g., captured, pending, paid, etc.): it's odd though because the order numbers are different. I currently have one captured order and one pending order.

I knew I should have purchased it from Steam...

I would have purchased it from Steam as well if it weren't for all the bonuses attached to pre-ordering a so-called "Gamestop" version of ME2. Also, I thought I was buying my game from Gamestop, not whatever Trymedia is, whom will not receive any business of mine in the future.

Same issue as the rest of you here. I anticipated this happening last night, but figured I'd give it until release date. Hoping I get my activation code soon, this is a bit ridiculous.

Same problem here - they never emailed the product key, but did send the other codes for the pre-order items. By the way, I had to email Trymedia to even get the correct codes, plus they never sent the game key which was why I emailed them in the first place. I don't care if there policy is no refunds on EA titles, I asked for a refund.

The only reason I pre-ordered the digital download copy was to play the minute it was released. I will take my business elsewhere.

Yep, extremely unprofessional of both Trymedia and a bad partnership decision by Gamestop. I hope they intend on finding another 3rd party to work with (if it's even necessary) in the future.  As an avid Bioware games fan, I am rather disappointed in my experience so far.

I would love to do that as well, but in the long run I suppose we do have the bonus items from the Gamestop pre-order. I warn you against paying for the game twice, though. It seems as though when you agree to purchase the game, you agree that all sales from EA published titles are final. You may be able to get a refund, but I still would suggest you tread gingerly.

I do not intend on paying for the game twice. I either need a refund for this purchase or some kind of compensation or attempt to make things right.

UPDATE!

It seems as though the second version of the order, labeled "Pending" has the CD key on it. They were just several hours late in delivering it. I really hope this helps, guys! Check your order again!

It seems you're correct Jostle, I checked the orders earlier and found nothing so either I'm blind or this was a recent update.

Thank you!

Mine is still pending. Do you know how many hours it took from the time on your second order till you received your key?

edit: nevermind, now there is a cd key when you click on view even if it's still pending.

If it works like mine, you should be able to find it by doing the following

Gamestop.com -> Help (top right) -> Digital Download Account -> Login -> My Games -> View on the order that is Pending -> It should be towards the middle of the page under your Mass Effect item

Okay, Trymedia just e-mailed us with an activation key and a few words of apology. Not exactly good compensation for the four hours and forty minutes we had to wait to get it while everyone else played the game, but whatever...

Pretty glad I didn't book a day off to play on launch day. I'd be in my car and headed to San Fran to get the damn code in person. I might be if I haven't received my code by 5PM PST when I get off work.

This is incredibly lame. EA needs to just take over and tell Trying-my-patience-media.com to go ****** up a rope.

I'm glad to make the update. I was constantly refreshing my inbox, my order status page, and this thread to see if anything new came up. Game is half-finished installing now! Can't wait! I hope other people who ordered from this lame site can see this thread.
