When did the devs say anything about a DLA coming in 2015 ? And if they did what areas. I don't recalol them saying earlier today.
I believe there was an interview where they said that they were just about done with southern Thedas and the Chantry. They want to explore the north, the Blight and the Elves. Thats were the assumption is coming from.

They said in future games they want to explore plots like the Tevinter, a qun invasion, Old gods and the blight and the Elven Pantheon...
Also Laidlaw also stated "Story wise, we’re looking at least two games ahead".
Also need to remember in a couple of months the "Worlds of Thedas Volume 2" will be released and for the first time ever we will know what lies beyond the continent of Thedas.

I'll be looking forward to that.

Nevarra IS on the way to the Anderfels and the Tevinter Imperium.
If I had to speculate, the "main area" (like Skyhold) will be in Nevarra.
I can dream!

I wonder if it's possible that there is more countries than we actually know. Thedas seems small... :c

Thedas, if memory serves, is supposed to be one continent in a much larger world.

Really? Now that's interesting. Even more potential for future games then.

Im gonna play Devils Advocate and say Antiva and Rivain in a smaller self contained story simply title DA4 where can only play as an elf for...reason
Rivaine was one of the nations Laidlaw specifically mentioned when talking about moving north with the next game. ![]()

Unlikely for a mere little DLC ... I'd rather think we'll get a Fall of the Inquisition-type of DLC, that takes the power away from that institution to some degree and gives a reason why the Quizzy vanishes from the scene...hopefully a positive reason (I just wanna get back to Ostwick without the anchor...lame but works for me, I love lame for my main chars...ME3 did that to me)
For DA4 however? Damn right Anderfels and Tevinter:
Anderfels is, as I got it, mostly uncivilised wilderness with patches of civilization, governed by the Wardens? Plenty of areas to exlore these wilderness, the dangers, DARKSPAWN galore!
And Tevinter? Hopefully MUCH effort is made to give us the capital of Minrathous, but not like Orlais. A huge, alive moloch of a city, with towering buildings all over. It could even be multiple-areas (like Kirkwall, yet bigger, way bigger in size!): Slums/slave-quarters, "Hightown" etc...

I'd love the next game to be in Tevinter, with some Seheron and Par Vollen in there too, but I would much prefer Antiva over the Anderfels.

To be clear:
1)I think its only the southernmost part of Anderfels (practically Orlais, really) that may be in DLC
2)Tevinter for DA4 better happen! ![]()

Most likely full north next game, since it will be full next gen, think the imperium and the near by northerning countries, plus the isle the keep fighting with the Qun over.
Thinking if DA:I does well we will get content pressing the inquestion slightly north into Cass's homeland and perhaps slightly into the imperium but it won't go that far north.
Just my two bits.

I'd love to go to Rivain. Genetivi says nowhere felt as foreign to him as there. The Chantry couldn't really reach there and even the Qun thought better than interfere with their culture of wise women shamen. Would also like Tevinter because of what Dorian says about them preserving their past, so plenty of interesting buildings and ruins to see. Then there's Seheron; that really has potential given the mix of Tevinter, Qun and local native Fog Warriors. Would be happy with any of them.

Where was Arlathan, btw? Tevinter?

Close to Antiva, if I recall correctly.
North of Antiva, east of Tevinter, according to the map.

We might go there but I have a feeling it will be in a sequel rather than DLC.
I'd bet on the DA:I DLC being focused on Southern Thedas.
I think for DAI DLC will focus on MP lol...

NO.
The Anderfels sound like a dump.
If I don't get to go to Tevinter I will flip 10,000 tables.
Is it bad I now don't want to go to Tevinter, just to see you make good on that threat?
Also, I reckon Nevarra and somewhere in the Free Cities (NOT Kirkwall) for DLC, with Tevinter and Anderfels being reserved for DA4.
If I recall right, Tevinter was intended to originally be visited in Inquisition, but I have no idea how far they went into making that actually happen (ie; maps etc), or whether any of the intended quests were covered by the various war table operations regarding Tevinter. But if they want to reserve the north of Thedas for DA4, as many of us suspect, then leaving off Tevinter for now probably isn't the worst idea. Gives them more freedom in how to approach it later on, makes it more unique an experience.
Unless SwoybJ has something they'd like to share with the rest of the class?

Kal'Sharok.
Origin of Blight.
Warden material.
Elven material.
It will happen. DLC. Coming 2015.[/quote
Source?
Kal'Sharok? Hell yes! Sorely need more dwarven material and lore in this game. Would love to see Scout Harding, Dagna and Varric's thoughts, possible insight for Cadash, in this one.
Anderfels/Warden and the Blight? Eh maybe. Feels better suited to a spinoff sequel in the line of DA2 with a different protagonist if you ask me.
Elven material I can go either way on. One thing says the less humancentric the better, plus would probably flesh out all that ancient elf stuff. Other half says well what about the qunari and untouched cultures of Thedas still hanging about? Then again they get the whole elf thing done with Inquisition + DLC they can turn their focus to Tevinter the next game.

I would accept Rivain and Tevinter as the focus.
Not particularly interested in the concept of roaming just around Antiva or Anderfels.

No particular source. Just my strong opinion.
One large dwarven DLC. One large elven DLC.
I'm not saying that the Anderfels/Warden/Blight will be sorted out. What I meant is that it'll be addressed again.
Awakening expansion dealt with Blight even though it didn't conclude it.

There doing both first dlc will be new maps, which we already got sort of. Think how they did ME 3 there will be both.
Anderfels are super far away from southern Thadas I'm pretty sure if the inquestior ends up there it will be the last of the dlc and be the closing arc, less they starts traveling by mirrors.
