I wonder how many shards we will find in the Anderfells.

C'mon man. Try to have a little optimism. Astrariums or bust.

It was a joke. Loved the Astariums, though.

The music that plays when doing the puzzle is kind of hypnotic.

That maps close but its got the Orlesian, Ferelden and Nevarran Borders wrong.
Ferelden Doesn't Control the Frostbacks and Orlais's Border with Ferelden extends a little more east than that because Orlais borders Orzammars entrance.
And Orlais borders to the north extend more, Orlais controls Andoral's Reach not Nevarra - we learn this in Dragon:Age Asunder where Rhys says that its in Northern Orlais.
You could try and make a country map with the boundaries. You seem to know alot about it.

I'm just hoping they don't pull the carpet out from under us again story-wise, because I want to go to Tevinter now as well. After DA2 and Asunder, everyone was revved up for a game based around the Mage/Templar war, but that whole storyline got cut off at the ankles, and we got blindsided with demons raining from the sky.

Is Anderfels the Germany to Orlais' France? When you do the war table mission in the Anderfels for the little Inquisition fanboy, you get a drawing back from him, showing the two of you riding wyverns named Bernd and Otto. Most other mentions of the Anderfels (plus the name) give off a germanic vibe, too.

I'm sure that Tevinter & Anderfels will be in the next "numbered" DA game.

Orlais isn't purely France. There's a huge influence of Venice.

I believe there was an interview where they said that they were just about done with southern Thedas and the Chantry. They want to explore the north, the Blight and the Elves. Thats were the assumption is coming from.
Right, I'll believe that when I see it.
True all indications point to Tevinter. But let us be realistic before we start breaking out the champagne can caviar.
We were told that DAI was going to explore more then Fereldan and Orlais. That proved to be wrong.
Then we were told we get to explore Val R. That proved to be half-ass true. All we got was a cookie cutter section of the city that some fan boy could have made on his home computer.
We may in fact be going to Tevinter. But be prepare for a cookie cut of the city, since Bioware cannot do an actual city.
As for the Anderfels. Would not surprise me. After DAI Bioware seems obsessed with desert/barren locations. Why? Cause its easy. Lay down some sand, some rocks and they are done.
Bottom line is: I'll be far more impressed if they did Minrathous as an actual city complete with side quests.
DAI is done there will be nothing more added. Considering the Twitter feed weeks back its more then likely Bioware has already started on DA4. We may get an announcement to such late next year or some time before the end of summer in 2017.

I had a strange feeling that the Grey Wardens/Anderfels business was set up for an Awakening style expansion. What made me particularly believe this was the release of the 'Last Flight' novel - it seemed odd to bring up plot lines that would take several years to see fruition in DA 4.
It won't be DLC, but I wouldn't be surprised to see something like 'Dragon Age: Anderfels' as an expansion on a disc.

Why can't they make a city like Denerim again, and have multiple districts and things to do?

Did we seriously need a necro for this topic?
It's what will likely happen so there's no harm in it rather than starting a new topic, no ?

Why not an entire city ? Witcher 3's Novigrad is a good exemple for this ![]()

I would like that a lot, even if it were like Fable 2's Bowerstone which was huge.

Minrathous needs to be its own, complete zone. "Val Royeaux", or the lack thereof, was a rather huge disappointment. I hope they can manage to do better for Tevinter.

Assuming it's not cross gen, I think it's a strong possibility we're going to get proper cities. DA:I had to be designed to work on systems with 512MB of total RAM.

Hopefully more of it ends up in the game than just a marketplace. Val Royeux was disappointing.
