My inquisitor chose to drank from the well of sorrows, as a Dalish, I figured I should be allowed to claim my ancient heritage, so I go thru with it, meet Flemeth, and she tells me where to go and tame a dragon. I do that and now I'm gearing up for the last mission, but out of curiosity, I checked out the other options and apparently if morrigan drinks she becomes bound to flemeth but gains the awesome ability to turn into a high dragon to fight coryfishy's red lyrium dragon. I'm kinda bummed as I felt that I made the wrong choice because it means that:

1) the leader of the inquisition, with political and military ties to various nations, as well as the command of a large army of mages, templars, grey wardens, etc is under the control of flemeth/mythal

2) I deny morrigan the chance to extend her own powers.

Also, is there any way to prevent flemeth from taking the old god soul from kieran? I get that's it's supposed to be good but I would've liked to see how an old god would've grown up.

If this question can't be answered without spoiling the endgame I can wait, I'll be finishing it up in the next couple of days.

Uh, well my Dalish Inquisitor choose to drink it out of similar reason, and when I saw that Mythal was indeed alive in some form and that it was Flemeth... I doubted my decision, too

Spoiler

I don't think there is a wrong/right answer to who drinks from the Well, imo, since we haven't really seen the outcome of that yet.

You should put that in spoilers. He/she didn't want the ending spoiled ;) But the answer is indeed, there is no wrong choice.

You get a dragon. Bioware can tell me that because I drank from the well. That 50 kids are orphaned and I would still do it lol

There's no way to tell. I say don't overthink it for now.

Personally, I wouldn't. I have enough crazy elven magic plaguing me as it is. :D

There's really no right or wrong answer for that choice, imo.

My only fear with letting Morrigan drink is, that she might die in a future Dragon Age game. You know, like having to sacrifice herself, do something with herself to weaken/kill Flemeth as the plot demands it or some other serious **** you wouldn't want to happen to her. There could be a similar Hawke/Alistair Here lies the Abyss situation.

And if there is, just change it in the Keep :)

I did it for the achievement before I reloaded and let Morrigan have the fun.

I found it hilarious if Morrigan drinks. She's been trying to avoid Flemeth for 10 years and now she just willingly out herself under Flemeths control. It was glorious.

Also she gets to turn into a dragon which is dope.

I'd rather not drink it. Being bound to a God? No thanks, I'd rather just die on my own terms. When morrigan realized what she had done, I could tell she regretted it.

I felt sorry for her, but not that sorry. This is my first DA game so my empathy for her was a little low.

How do I do spoiler tags?

At any rate neither choice is "good", if you like Morrigan anyway (otherwise you'd be delighted to let her have at it ).

I don't think we know if there's a better/worse option here yet... It could go either way. Maybe the knowledge you learn will help out in some future DLC, or maybe Mythal will command you to do something terrible... I wouldn't trust Morrigan to always be on your side, so giving her a massive increase in power doesn't seem like a great idea!

And now to sound like Flemeth.... "We're all bound one way or another."

Well considering what happens to Flemeth I don't think anything to bad will happen to you.

I let morrigan drink from it why because she was arrogant fool pretty much everything was screaming to not drink even my inquisitor pointed her many times that but no she thought she is smartest there.

As i dislike flemeth and that whole plot with mythal and elven gods i enjoyed morrigan being screwd by her massive stupidity.

I'm not convinced she's gone. She died in DA:O as well.

Even if she has, we don't know whether the Geas is destroyed or whether it will transfer to Solas (since he now has her power). Solas having control over you could potentially be very very bad...
