I just got into multiplayer so sorry for noobish question.

How come I can sometimes revive incapacitated teammates, and sometimes I can't?

A player is incapacitated when they're crawling around, correct? Sometimes I can hold to revive them. Other times, I stand as close I can to them or circumvent around them, and I can't do anything. Poor team mate is just stuck crawling around.

I want to say it's a bug, but it happens so often so  I must be missing something here?

Don't bother reviving em. Just use your lvl 9 Arcane Warrior and solo it.

What is funny is if you don't have a voice mic, you just sort of keep on standing over the guy. The most you can do then is spam random banter or jump on his body, which makes it look like you are mocking him :).

That is exactly what bothers me. Sometimes I can start reviving, but after the animation finishes, the person stays down, so I try again and it won´t go through again and so on until they bleed out. I guess lag or bug is at fault, but to the fallen person it looks precisely like trolling.

I know the feeling. It's awful because to the other user it looks like you're trolling the hell out of them for no reason. It's a bug and I haven't found a way to circumvent it myself. But what I have noticed is that if I can't revive a user, usually one of the two others can. But without a mic it's impossible to communicate that to the other two in your team, who naturally assume you're reviving the player.

Try moving around and spamming revive with your mouse if you're on PC, it might make you look like you're being mean but at least you'll revive the poor guy eventually.

IIRC having an enemy targeted prevents use button from doing anything useful as well.

It's not "mocking" when you offer the body of the fallen PuG to the RNG god as a sacrifice.

I'm surprised to see this is such an old problem. This happens to me quite frequently, someone dies and there is no interaction on them, no hand to click and the hotkey won't work either because it can't find the interaction to use.

A bug or lag? I always thought it was lag correlated in that you only get this when the game itself is already laggy. Similar to the insta-fade issue.

My experience with this is as far as I remember always laggy lobbies. Sometimes you can get them up sometimes you can't with high lag. Especially if they die on stairs. When you get in a real laggy lobby just try your best not to die. If you do there is a good chance you will have to wait for the next zone.

You can revive them 3 times in a run. After that they go directly into the fade. Now there are bugs where the x mark for revival doesn't show up or where the player go straight to the fade, those happen randomly. Oh well

If they are on their knees, can crawl, run-crawl, or flash their signal, you should be able to revive them.

Lag. Definitely lag. It's never happened to me as host, and I had one game where I lagged to death in the middle of several rage demons. The friend I was playing with quickly said "revive bug" when he tried to pick me up. I've also noticed that people who seem to be lagging sometimes require keeping hold of revive for a moment after the bar fills before it registers that they're back up, so there's some connection dependency where reviving is concerned in general.

And something something necromancer reference.

Stop reviving. Start tea-bagging.

I've had the problem in games where the lag wasn't bad, or even noticeable.

I think the primary culprit is the "everything button." Once you have an "everything button," almost anything can cause context-sensitive functions to bug out.

it doesn't happen very often, but I did have that happen to a player recently.  I remember reviving the player, then ran off to fight, but then noticed the player was still down.  Thought maybe I'd let me finger off the button too soon?  Nope, after doing a full revive again, the player still did not revive.  1

I will say that reviving issues have been rare for me, but that they are still present after a number of patches... BW pls.

when the guy doesn't get up as soon as the green circle disappears that's a lag thing and just spending another few seconds with your finger on the res button will often let them get up .....

when you don't get the res button to use on someone who is crawling about spamming "over here" and your not noticing odd side jumpy movement (lag related position data problem) then chances are you have something in your target selection (tab cycles through targets or you can hit the esc key on pc, just don't hit the `¦¬ key {next to the 1 key or nothing works till you hit it again} if your game has been a bit bouncy and everything seems to be sidestepping and rubber banding then you cant pick them up because they are in a different part of the map to where you are seeing them, generally this is down to someone joining the lobby from the wrong part of the world especially if the game is mid match ....

I've had this happen.  Made it look as if I was doing a most inexpert job of teabagging.   Awkward when you aren't trying to do that.  More awkward still that you look like you don't know how.

Lag. It is known, khaleesi. Happens to me quite a lot. Also sometimes nothing happens after rezzing seems to have finished, and then a few seconds later my character suddenly stands up and dies again. Presumably the lag means that I don't even get to see what killed me again.

Fix my internet, biower pls.

Just tea bag them instead of reviving them... They must learn to not die.

It can also happen if you are targeting a specific enemy. If you clicked on an enemy so that their health bar shows at the top of the screen it can prevent you from reviving the usual way on PC. Instead of using the keyboard I have to use the right mouse button. Same with turning the trebuchet if I'm locked onto the high dragon.

In the rare case you are not trying to teabag anything....it often works to hold the revive button down way past the animation circle, just don´t let go till they start standing.
