Hi all,
Just finished my first playthrough (PS4, overall, a great game), and I wanted to mention the stuff I liked and the stuff I didn't (no spoilers).
THE GOOD:
- Yes, the maps are huge, there's a lot to explore. Nice landscapes with a lot of variety.
- 2 combat systems are better than 1. I didn't use tac-cam much on my first playthrough, but now I'm playing in nightmare difficulty and it's more useful.
- Good characters. Both companions, advisors, and even some secondary characters are interesting (eg. Harding or Dagna).
- Good motivations for a 2nd playthrough: a few important options in the main story, several romance options depending on your character (played straight male the 1st time, I'm playing gay female now), many specific dialogs related to your class/race (played rogue elf 1st, I'm playing qunari mage now), etc.
- Made the story of DA2 more important by bringing back many elements from it.
- Great soundtrack. Both the background music and the tavern songs are great (not to mention the great moment before reaching Skyhold).
- I personally loved crafting weapons and armors.
THE BAD:
- The game was lunched with a lot of bugs. Even after the 2nd patch, many remain. I had to play the whole 2nd half of the game with a mission in my screen that I could no longer resolve (see http://answers.ea.co.../td-p/4041421).
- Climbing to get shards or other "hidden" objects in the map can get very frustrating and boring. I gave up on several side missions because I simply got tired of not finding how to get through.
- The board missions to get resources give you a ridiculously low amount of items, so effectively they are useless.
- The inventory management system feels clumsy.
- No fighting from the mount. Actually, the mounts in general don't have much use (they look good, though).
THE UGLY:
- The characters' hair. Every single one of them (well... except Solas), even in PS4.

So yes, a great game (and I didn't even try the multiplayer yet!), but Bioware, please don't launch the next Mass Effect with so many bugs. They are very annoying.
