I think she made some excellent points. It's quite obvious you, like many many others did not read a word of what she wrote. You took it to the extreme.
Let me put it this way: you have Cassandra and Josephine. Both of whom are attractive women. Cassandra might not fit your model as the vulnerable female, but Josephine seems to be more that way. You may not like Cassandra's hair, but it's short for a reason. It's easy to care for and nothing is more feminine than long, stringy, dirty, sweaty hair after a hard day swinging a sword - take a bath? up there you'll catch your death of cold.
As a straight female, when I played Mass Effect 3 I had a choice of... are you ready? Liara and Samantha. Why? Because I hadn't romanced Garrus in ME2, and Bioware decided that Jacob was going to cheat, and that Thane was going to die. The straight males had: Ashley, Miranda, Liara, Jack, and Kelly. Cry me a river.
So go ahead and feel like a second class citizen. All we're asking for is equality. We don't hate men.
I love the way Bioware designed this game. I even plan to play a male protagonist for the first time voluntarily. Why? Cassandra. I want to see that story line.
Sounds to me YOU are crying a massive river.
I can't say anything because I am clearly a privileged white man, what was I thinking.
I don't like how they presented the women.
Either you get a manly looking woman with a jawline that would make men feel dainty (what was the purpose of that?), she looked normal in DA2. I also have no problem with short hair, where do you come up with these 'arguments'. There are plenty of really fine women with short hair. Have you seen the voice actor for Cassandra, a gorgeous woman. Why not model Cassandra after a normal looking woman. Why the acute angular face with a constant frown.
I thought romances was suppose to entice a person to become interested. To have some beauty and YES I would expect the same for female and gay romances.
Bioware has had really good looking love interests for male in all other games. This is why it is jarring, it's like it's some kind of message.
Josephine almost prudish virginesque. Where is the normal woman? She is also hardly attractive either. Especially when you see Leliana and how she looks a lot better than both.
It's such a huge contrast with nothing normal in the middle, an extreme tom-boy religious person or a prudish virgin with the purposeful warts and all.
I also never said I have a problem with women and gay people having equal choice. So don't even try to play that card.
