I don't like how they presented the women.
Either you get a manly looking woman with a jawline that would make men feel dainty (what was the purpose of that?), she looked normal in DA2. I also have no problem with short hair, where do you come up with these 'arguments'. There are plenty of really fine women with short hair. Have you seen the voice actor for Cassandra, a gorgeous woman. Why not model Cassandra after a normal looking woman. Why the acute angular face with a constant frown.
I thought romances was suppose to entice a person to become interested. To have some beauty and YES I would expect the same for female and gay romances.
Bioware has had really good looking love interests for male in all other games. This is why it is jarring, it's like it's some kind of message.
It's a rpg, doesn't matter what you like, it is what you imagine your character likes that matters. Even if I don't like fierce looking women with a stick up their butt so far they can't stand still when they are talking, maybe my character does...
If my character happens to prefer sexy, flirty women, then unfortunately for him, there weren't any around in Haven or Skyhold. I guess he will just go up to his chamber, ****** one out, go to sleep and continue with saving the world tomorrow...
Doing the same thing that they have been doing before is just as much a conscious decision as doing it differently...there is a just as much of a message and decision behind status quo as there is behind progression...
