Gimme a Mass Effect MMO first. With a fully built and completeley accessible Citadel.

Here, I'll even help you out a bit:

Base game

Citadel, Earth, Thessia, Palaven, Sur'Kesh.

Playable species: Human, Asari, Turian, Salarian

1st expansion

Rannoch, Dyson Sphere.

New playable species: Geth, Quarian

2nd expansion

Kah'je, Irune

New playable species: Hanar (non-combat 'merchant class), Drell, Volus (non-combat ''merchant class)

3rd expansion

UNC

4th expansion

Dekuuna, Heshtok

New playable species: Elcor (non combat ''merchant' class), Vorcha

5th expansion

UNC2

6th expansion

Introduction of new species (from ME4), new homeplanets.

I'd already buy it if they just gave me a fully fleshed out Citadel and one playable species :P

I don't get why op is getting such a hard time. I think the point he is trying to make is that the game really plays like a single player mmo already with the fetch quests, open world, combat system, and constant mining and r&d.

No, if that happens, the story would die and the micro transactions will swallow this franchise whole.

It's more WHO the OP is than what is being said in the OP.

An mmo would kill the franchise.

Not if it makes them money...quite the opposite.

Have been reading this forum for months and for the first time I'm writing something, to say:

Bioware, please don't turn DA into a MMO T-T

It will make money, but it won't be Dragon Age anymore. Just a skin.

ESO was a disaster but it won't kill the series. Definitely sure.

No.   Look at the difference between the Elder Scrolls games and ESO.    Not nearly the same quality.   Personally, I would love to see Bioware delve into a unique kind of flexible system.    One were casuals could get the kind of enjoyment they are seeking and one where the die-hards could get the depth of complexity they desire.   Some kind of game setting.

I love DA:I's scope, but I do mourn its loss of tactical and mechanical complexity.    Show the world you can build a game that TRULY can be loved by the extreme ends of both audiences.

If they decide to do that, then fine, more power to them.  As it is, I'd probably treat any DA MMO exactly like I did with both Final Fantasy MMOs: Not touch them.

And the Elder Scrolls MMO.

And the Star Wars MMO.

Making a succesful singleplayer RPG into a franchise never really works.

To the OP: hey Eminem, nice to see you again o/

An MMO would be OK ... years in the future when the single-player series is completed, not like the KOTOR series in which the MMO was done before a proper KOTOR 3 could be made.

Simply put, this guy started a few threads recently, one asking for single women (without kids, he was specific) to put up their real life pictures in the thread or send them to him via PM.    The next one was asking do females play this game (I just wanna know.)  Then, this morning, we were treated to an apology for much of his actions that was one of the most backhanded and insincere things I've read on the BSN.  This year, at least.

As a result, he's made it very difficult to take anything he says seriously.  He may even have some good points, but I think he's left unblocked only because some posters find him funny.

NO to an MMO. I love Dragon Age but would not touch the series again if they made the next game an mmo.
