NO to an MMO. I love Dragon Age but would not touch the series again if they made the next game an mmo.

Yeah... because it worked out so well for Knights Of The Old Republic and The Elder Scrolls.

Look, if you want to go on raids with a Ogre named Biggus Dickus, more power to you. Just don't expect every other franchise to go along for the ride.

Which turned out to be a better romance arc than I would have thought.  :P

I don't do MMOs, but I have friends who enjoy that sort of thing. It seems like a small percentage of the server is made up of people who role play amongst themselves in small groups, taking things waaay too seriously and speaking only in character. A larger group are buddies going on raids to level up and nab loot, having fun with the format and generally enjoying themselves.

The rest - what seem like the majority to an outsider like me looking in - are crazy people with rude usernames they somehow slipped passed the censor (Lady Widehole, Erectus Dinkus) whose sole purpose appears to be taking the micky out of the roleplayers and annoying the raiding parties.

... not my cup of tea.

Go look at Elder Scrolls Online. In many ways its probably what Dragon Age would become as an MMO. Unfortunately so much of the budget was dumped onto voice acing that a great deal of the rest of the game suffered. There's too many MMOs as it is, it would have to develop into something truly groundbreaking.

That, and aren't MMORPG's sort of floundering these days due to market oversaturation? They still make immense amounts of money, don't get me wrong, but with so many of them coming out it's hard to break into the pack. Almost absurdly so, and many that do either start off with subscription models and then devolve into punishing free to play versions that feel more like the developer is throwing a tantrum than anything else (SWTOR - where if you didn't subscribe the game actively punished you by limiting everything to an absurd amount) or go F2P in the beginning and have a whole different can of worms to deal with. I love MMORPG's, Lotro is still played heavily by me in spite of it's age. However I really don't think Dragon Age has the potential to survive with the current market as it stands. It'd just be more of the same, and in this market that's a death sentence.

Depends upon the MMO.  Some games like WoW can comfortably run on an older computer.  Others, like EVE Online, are more graphic intensive.  I'd look up the recommend specs of the games you want to play, then start planning your budget from there.  Toms Hardware is an excellent site to help you balance a smooth experience with the cost of the hardware.  They have some good FAQs, so try that once you decide what games you wish to play.

No snark, no sarcasm.  :)

Honestly most MMOs are pretty easy to run, with the exception of Tera or the developing Star Citizen similar which really push the bounds of what a machine is capable of. My old AMD 6570 ran most MMO's just fine, not at ultra but close. If your PC can run Inquisition, it can handle an MMO.

This.  If you've already got the set up for Inquisition, the majority of MMOs will play just fine with high settings.

Bioware is not touching anything related to an MMO after TORtanic. No way in hell.

The fantasy genre for MMOs is already pretty saturated. Plus a major issue with SWTOR is that a lot of people would rather play the game as a single player game, rather than an MMO. While the prospect of having a Dragon Age MMO is appealing, I don't believe it would be quite as successful as the single player RPGs that Bioware is currently providing. Yes, you'll pull MMO players into the game but they also tend to be very flighty, constantly looking for the next mmo massiah to save them from bordom.

Now, would I support Dragon Age Inquisition getting upgraded to a Massive Action Role Playing Game with optional Co-op. In short, the single player mmo with a steady stream of content flowing from patches and expansions.

I might even consider subscribing if it was a low price monthly sub, $5 for example. In exchange for more content updates, free or reduced price on DLC and expansion content, along with an early access grace period.

Do I love Dragon Age? Yes. Do I want to see more content? Of course! Do I want to see a Dragon Age MMO? As appealing as it might sound, I don't believe it would do the IP justice.

Shop for deals, and like Natashina said, RESEARCH. I find lots of good stuff on newegg, and you might be able to find some last minute deals there on gaming PC's. They're usually pretty good about it all actually, and generally people will tell you EXACTLY why something is good or bad. However, again, research it otherwise the terms they use won't make a lick of sense. I just built my first gaming PC a few months ago and it was an uphill battle... But that was building it, they have premades available.

I would add a better video card (chip presets tend to suck) and add some more RAM for a premade computer.
