the cut-scene after Cole recruitment, Solas dream-converse with you and Skyhold has been fixed up a bit. You get the icon "Look for Cole" when you go to his usual place in the tavern. is there any way to trigger the cut-scene?

When I went to see Cole and I saw the "Look for Cole" thing I had an option to intereact with the empty space to go looking for him. That's what triggered the scene for me.

Try near the tents with the wounded people in the courtyard near the main entrance? At least, that's where I had the "look for Cole" thing pop up - maybe it'll show up if you check around there.

I also have some exclamation point showing up for Cullen in his office, but he's still in the courtyard atm, so the Skyhold map seems a bit flaky before it's fully repaired. If you can't search for him near the tents, maybe you should just reload before talking to Solas if you can.

EDIT: I'm stating the above under the assumption that you tried to look for him in his usual spot and couldn't trigger it by clicking on "look for Cole" up there.

yeh. i have tried different scenarios with Cole before talking to Solas to no avail.

the one near the tents sounds like when you first recruit him, does his "Look for Cole" can show up there twice? i only knew about the scene from another playthrough and the Look for Cole was in his spot in the tavern. i can't imagine it popping up again by the tents because the cutscene has the inquisitor coming out the tavern looking for Cole, who is sitting on the ledge, above the tents, reading the lady's thoughts.

Yeah, that was right after I recruited him - it functioned normally, and it involved the wounded/dying soldiers I believe. Hmm...tried traveling out of Skyhold and then going back to the tavern? Sometimes traveling will get the companion stuff to work, but I'm not sure about this particular issue you're having.

I've got the same problem. Does anyone found a solution?

According to Wikia both of these option works on +35 approval, but I've got only "Talk about how you think" and Cole's standing on his place in the tavern:

Talk about how you think.

Skyhold, requires +35

Look for Cole

Skyhold, requires +35; look for him at his usual spot in the tavern.
After this scene, a small chest becomes active next to him in the tavern. It contains gear for him.

It happened to me too in my last playthrough, and his approval was very high, so that's not the problem. It must be a bug. The chest never became lootable, but I was able to do his personal quest and all.

It sounds like a problem to me. =( No unique hat, no amulet of power, missing content. He doesn't have too much content, and I treasure every single moment with him. I wish I've know how to avoid this bug!

Well, I'll try to rich Skyhold with far less approval. 40 hours to replay... Damn... I hope it will help.

I know, it bothered me too :( But it was my fourth playthrough, so I didn't really feel like reloading.

Good luck! :)

Before you enter the fade with Solas after the Haven's fall, MAKE SURE that you have already triggered the second "look for Cole" cut scene at tavern.

Right after you let him join you, leave Skyhold, return and head to the Tavern. If you wait too long after the recruiting him scene, you'll never get it. It has to be right after he joins.

Ok i've tested it. If approval get to high before you move to skyhold it's not possible without editor to trigger cut-scene. Occurs mostly if you choose templars and do some stuff before moving to Skyhold (cole gets approval regardless his presence in party. I've used editor I've got (trying to remember where I got it), changed his approval to 40 (from around 75) and boom, cut-scene triggered.

So solution:
1) Get save editor
2) Change Cole's Approval Rating (note there are two variables approval and aproval_rating, only change approval_rating)
3) Save as a new file and replace.

In advance. I can't link original site or direct link to editor, sorry. Site rules. :(

This helped me A LOT thank you. first time around in skyhold this triggered just fine for me. second time it just wouldn't tried traveling and all. but changing the approval to 40 worked and the scene triggered. not sure if it would've triggered automatically in time or not. but im happy to at least know the fix :P (ill hold of on using it for now seeing if it will trigger after some time playing the game)
