I am now running a dual boot system and reinstalled the game under the 8.1 drive. I now get about 75-100 fps everywhere but in NPC crowded areas, which get 55-65. I guess all the posts about 8.1 providing a significant performance boost were right.

I run everything on High/Ultra (No MSAA) and the lowest my FPS goes too is 40 when you wake up in Haven.. Everywhere else is 60, dropping to a minimum of 50 during intense areas. My first thoughts were how amazing the performance is considering how beautiful the game looks.

My rig is pretty average, GTX 670 with an I5 3570k @ 4.4

Admittedly they haven't shown up.

Maybe because they have finally learned that arguing with ignorant fools is a waste of time and serves no useful purpose?

This game is considerably more demanding than other FB games.

I just barely maintain 60 fps on my rig (with MSAA off), and I'm running a liquid cooled R295x2.

Just a question here, but do you have your GPU overclocked at all? you can get about 10FPS more I'm guessing if it is not and you do so.

I do not.

AMD will let me adjust both clock speed and power consumption. I have done neither.

I suggest you do so; that high quality water cooler on the GPU is there to greatly help the overclockability of it. Just a suggestion. There are plenty of guides on how to overclock your GPU online and taking a look at a couple of those will make you and expert in no time.

I posted this in another thread so I will just copy+paste.

I have a GTX 970. I turn post-process quality to low (who needs motion blur and depth of field?), shadows to high, and MSAA is turned off. All other settings are ultra or higher.

I get a minimum of 50 FPS in all situations. On average it is 70 FPS though.

This is on Windows 7. I do hear good things about Windows 8.1 so I plan on upgrading to that this weekend.

I also get pretty horrible performance on a GTX 980, 8GB RAM, i7 4820k. I'm at 1440p but before Patch 2 came out I used to get 55-60 FPS, now I'm lucky to hit 45 in the least demanding zones. Hinterlands is 30-35, most places aren't much better.
