Over the last week or so I took a break from the singleplayer campaign and began exploring the Multiplayer environment. The missions were fun and trying out the mage was nice, but I quickly screwed up my character. I didn't realize multiplayer restricted you to 4 active spells and my overall newness to the mage class made me wish I could fix him.
Looking around, I saw no simple respec option in the game. Instead my only option was to chug through to max level to completely reset him.
For the life of me, I don't understand why we have to make respec difficult in multiplayer. I'm not an expert at this game who has googled and experimented with every single spell out there. I want to poke around with new skills for a game or two and see if I like it. Instead I get forced to play my crummy build for days until I hit 20 again.
This game should not be making casual players afraid to make any decision without googling character builds. It should provide a safe and forgiving environment for exploring different combinations in the skill trees. It hurts no one to let players easily reset their skills. This seems like a no-brainer to me.
