its probably easier to blame the whole company rather than. "The mass effect studio dropped the ball blah blah" "the DA studio is forcing me to be a templar blah blah"

Its shorthand

Man we like to exegerate we should be specific on who we think its to blame it unfair to accuse people who had no connection the the game.

IMO either a game in Tevinter dealing with the Old Gods - not a doomsday cult, but the Old Gods themselves.

Or a game in Rivain where the PC is an agent like in Fallout: New Vegas. The main factions are the Rivaini nobility (Chantry), Kont-aar (Qun), and the Rivaini Seers (sponsored by Felicisima Armada) all fighting for supremacy.

My favorite quest in DA:I was 'Under Her Skin' and my favorite minor character was Magister Erasthenes. If they can replicate that tone for an entire game in Tevinter that'll be a home run.

Weishaupt and the Anderfells.  I want to see what the Grey Warden civil war is about.

No its not this game game has tons of dlc for it and a expansion. This game will be the focus of Bioware for the next 2 years and then its Mass Effect 4 and later like in 2020 DA4 is in design.

Have they announced an expansion for DAI? Because if they did, I missed it.

Besides, DAO had a ton of DLC and an expansion and DA2 was out less than two years later. It was rushed, to be sure, but it was still done.

Also, Mass Effect and Dragon Age have two different development teams with minimal overlap. They alternate release dates, sure, but their development doesn't actively impact each other.

I don't think Bioware is as married to the concept of the big bad as the fandom is. DA2 was a game devoted to subverting the concept of the big bad, and the fandom turned on it.

Because it was terribly written.

I think Rivain would be the most interesting setting for the next game, considering all of the factions and tensions present there.

Next up for me would be the Anderfels because of the mess that is apparently happening there. However, if that situation is cleared up in future DLCs, then this option is a bit less appealing.

Of course Tevinter would be interesting with all of the crap that's there and the fighting with the Qunari.

I personally would be interested in Nevarra but that more of a personal thing as I don't have any reasons to justify it. I just want to go there.

Wouldn't care much for going to Antiva or Seheron.

DA2 had a lot of potential, but it got rushed. Too many reused areas. And not enough gray in the plot - mages that left the circle turning to blood magic and becoming abominations - this was stupid. If they'd cut down on the amount of this, and didn't pull the Orsino turing in to the monster, then they might have had something. They already had Meredith as the insane Knight Commander. They didn't need an insane High Enchanter. But the concept of a hero not saving the entire world from a big bad was a good one. The question is can they write it?

Right now I think we have to wait to see what the DLC is going to be. We have a potential of post ending DLC with this story.

In theory; scared to death of it in practice.

I don't expect to see a sequel anytime soon. But I think DLC should be right around the corner.

Kind of harsh. I'd go with terribly executed. DA2 had potential.

I enjoy DA2 as much as the next person but DA2 had some really big issues and Meredith and Orsino and how horrible done they where is one of my big gripes. They had ALOT of potential that was ruined because of how rushed the game was(plus Harvestersino outright ruined his character for good)

Wanting something you don't get is one thing, attacking people who are just trying to do their jobs and who are trying to please a large and disparate group is another. It also doesn't help anyone's cause. If people can hate and vilify anyone who has something to do with a game, well...that's just not healthy.

What do you want us to be mature and admit that the world is not made for us, some people

Guess I am the only gamer in the world who truly enjoyed Dragon Age 2. Possibly more than Origins.

Some of the dev team has expressed interest in a drastic change of scenery, setting the game somewhere in northern Thedas. I've heard Tevinter, Rivain, and Serehon thrown around, and the Anderfels remain a popular vote from the fans(for reasons I cannot begin to fathom).

The interest seems to be showing us new environments and a different side of Thedas' culture than the Chantry-dominated areas we've already experienced.

I'm calling Tevinter and the Anderfels with a mission to Kal Sharok. I'm guessing a blight related plotline (but not a blight) with heavy interference by Elven demi-gods. ;)

Well, not the only one, just not a majority. Does it help that I really enjoyed the DLC? ;)

Yeah the DLC was very well done, aside from MOTA's ending.

Pretty much.  If it was not for the companions(minus Anders and Seb) act 2, snarky Hawke(even if she could not do things that would make sense for her) and Legacy I would not care for the game at all.

Legacy is where my true enjoyment came from.

As for DA4, I can see them going in many, many directions. However, I would like for them to go ahead and tie up the loose elven pantheon story that they have going on now, cause that's extremely enticing to me. To that end, I'd like to head north, perhaps to Tevinter, especially since it's right next to the original Arlathan Forest.

I could do Rivain, maybe as well, or perhaps Nevarra. I'm not really keen on the Anderfels or Antiva.
