Ok, so since people are investing so much emotional stock into my comment about not taking a female inquisitor seriously, here is why.

1. Women are not physically strong enough to be warriors and are not as capable of men as emotionally controlling themselves from the negative impulses which lure demons.

2. Thedas is still a mostly patriarchal society other than Celine of Orlais and the Chantry.  A female leading an organization as powerful as the Inquisition wouldn't garner much support from the public.

I agree so hard. I feel like this is a limitation of the dev cycle tho. You can really tell they put in female characters due to the extra time, otherwise they'd have definitely written additional dialogue exploring this, perhaps having a female character serve as a board member of the Inquisition, mostly organizing potlucks or providing emotional support to the men in the organization (via sex, unless they're not human...then idk, more casseroles?). Maybe even a side quest where she removed her hand and gives it to Iron Bull to use in battle? I don't know! The possibilities were endless, but instead they just tacked her on last minute. Disappointing.

Tell that to the Shieldmaidens of the Viking Era.

I just think that someone who leads the fight against the greatest threat in the world should be someone who is physically and emotionally capable of handling it.

I am a pretty strong guy IRL.  I can bench press 285, squat 325, and deadlift 435 lbs which makes me physically stronger than any woman in the world and even I don't think I would be strong enough to lead the Inquisition.

But we still have our feminine charms to get by on, yes?

I wanted to argue about the patriarchy in Thedas thing...the chantry is not an afterthought, for example.

It doesn't matter.

Yes, I try to explain this to people who accuse me of sexism.  A powerful woman doesn't have to be a powerful woman by trying to be like a man.  A woman can rest on her laurels and still achieve great things.

Yeah, I really think they didn't get across a proper sense of gender relations in Thedas, where there have been no important historical women or organisations lead by women, ever. Male Inquisitors should be able to order the female companions, advisors and Inquisition agents to get in the kitchen and make them a sandwich at any time, and should be constantly showered with compliments on their strength and manliness. How else will we know they're the best?

I've got a David Hume quote...can that get me half a cookie?

"[Those who are] entirely disingenuous, and really do not believe the opinions they defend, but engage in the controversy from affectation, from a spirit of opposition, or from a desire of showing wit and ingenuity superior to the rest of mankind are surely the most irksome of all types of people...the only way, therefore, of converting an antagonist of this kind, is to leave him to himself. For, finding that no body keeps up the controversy with him, it is probable he will, at last, of himself, from mere weariness, come over to the side of common sense and reason."

See, but Hume never encountered Artichoke. He's just too much man to resist.

I mean, come on, look at how strong and powerful he is.

Nice mockery.  You don't believe me?  Well see for yourself. (comment section proves its me)

Like I said, even I wouldn't be able to physically handle the job of an Inquisitor yet I'm stronger than any woman on the planet.

That is good because I do love to rest on my laurels. I really don't understand why people give you so much hate, Jory. I mean, you really understand what is at the heart and core of the female sex and I really respect you for not bowing to all those PC neigh-sayers that imply we can be anything more than that. All it does is create false hope among the masses and instead of being in our proper place we strive to reach heights that we could never realistically achieve the same way as a man does. So, you're a really good guy, you know that?

There are women who bench press over 300 pounds, squat over 400 pounds, and deadlift over 500 pounds. So no, no you are not.

As to the original subject of the thread: did anyone happen to play as a dwarf and screen cap the Inquisitor's nudity in the Blackwall romance? I feel like amazing dwarf boobs could only improve the quality of this thread, but I was too distracted by how cute my character was wondering why there was no naked Blackwall the plot to capture the moment :( .

There are women who virilize themselves using steroids (male hormones) who might be able to lift more than me, but they aren't really women anymore.

Yes, they're more of a man than you'll ever be and more of a woman than you can handle.

But there are no actual, natural women who are stronger than me in the world.  Check my videos for proof.
