That guy is kinda creepy.

Although according to the Artificer trainer, they are Makers. Which means the Maker is a rogue. Which means rogues are god.

That means any army led by a rogue inquisitor is led by god.

Also there's a locked door that only a Rogue can open in the Wicked Hearts mission and only if the Inquisitor is a rogue

If that's the door I think you are talking about (locked right hand of the library when you return to the ball), you can find another way later by talking to the guards guarding the other entrance.

Seems easier to just go a rogue for the sake of convenience with locks. I guess like some said its all in the mind about the preconceptions of what leaders should be like.

Seems odd that no one has mentioned Robin Hood; a noble with a rogue-ish style of combat AND personality along with being a leader of men.

That'd be a great idea for a rogue Quizzy! You could make him a male human archer, with lincoln green eyes

Spoiler

Obviously, you'd name him Robin. You could do everything that relates to helping the poor, like getting Speaker Anais to help the refugees in the Hinterlands.

My rogue is very nice to have for picking locks, but to me I just find rogues to all be very snarky, and sarcastic.

I played a rogue dwarf because the carta association and all but it was only relevant for 1 conversation with Josie and a short string of war table operations. No one really cared that I was a smuggler or possibly worse.

I go rogue because I prefer to duel wield. And since DA2, that's only available to rogues. If they would make SnS attacks more sword based, then I might go that way. But they base most of the attacks on the shield. Shield bash, shield wall ect...ect... I just wish I could DW 2 swords again or at lease sword/dagger. At lease in DA2 we had choice of dagger or axes. And yes I know there are a few rare "axes" you could find in DA:I. But no schematics that I could find. Sorry for the rant.

This has motivated me to go rogue on my next playthrough. An assassin, a male assassin no less.

Rogue is a tactical choice more than anything.  Being good at tracking, hunting, and being skilled with a bow is fine for a noble.  Hell a lot of them hunt for sport.  Also having good spies and scouts is important for any noble family in Thedas

I made my female qunari an archer rogue, plus I have a male dwarf who uses daggers, I think it fits perfectly :)

It just seems so fitting. It's the perfect platform for a smart-aleck scoundrel character, which I always enjoy.

I've played four mages and one rogue. My rogue was really fun. I did female Trevalyen (sp?). She believed she was the Herald of Andraste and wanted to be Queen of the world. She wants to use her mark to gain the power Corypheus sought. I'm pretty sure she is possessed by a Pride demon.
