ahahahahahhaaha

lol'd

So what can surface Dwarves do in south? Carta or the guild, nothing else. Dwarves have embassies on Tevinter and have representatives. They are treated as equal as soporati (even better) and are the only race that cannot be made slaves. And Tevinter have sent help for Dwarves countless time, during darkspawn attacks. Its the oldest alliance treaty on Thedas.

However yeah, Ironic choice of words

Lol, and I forgot that one of the only two ways into Skyrim from the south is riddled with avalanches. The Imperials had half of Skyrim on their side, and even with that, and even if the Emperor wanted to give Tullius reinforcements, the only way he could do that was by sea because the Pale Pass was sealed by an accidental avalanche, and Riften is obviously Stormcloak territory, so the way through that side wouldn't work either. Skyrim doesn't put out that easy in other words.

Some are, but not all. They actually were going to have giants attacking imperials initially before that got cut like a lot of cool stuff. They were even recruitable for Stormcloaks.

No.

They really really do.

It's similar but not identical to the bit where any true fan of Rome destroys the Legion in NV.

Ugh nords... If you are going to support humans I cannot fathom how one would choose nords over redguards and imperials.

Supports the Legion

Hates mages.

I'm starting to see a pattern here. Don't be afraid of the flashing lights, Warder.

Redguards are boring, and Imperial isn't a race. Nords are of Imperial blood too.

What a n00b.

Wulfharth, Ulfric, Captain Burd, the badass that was closing oblivion gates with his guards until you asked him to stop so you could LET the daedra open a great oblivion gate, Legate Rikke, the woman that's basically the only reason Tullius hasn't lost all of Skyrim to Ulfric, because she knows the land and doesn't underestimate Ulfric like he does. Seriously, he almost let Ulfric take Whiterun because he wasn't aware of Ulfric's numbers like she was. She's a boss.

Then there's my man Ahzidal, the man that enchanted the 500 companion's weapons and mastered elven nordic and draconic magic. There's also Shalidor, one of the greatest mages around:

There's a lot of smart Nords. Don't fall into that bullshit stereotype set on by game stats and jokes. It's false.

I was looking for something to justify elves being able to put up a fight against humans despite the human number advantage.

Then you should have stuck with actual advantages the Altmer displayed rather than some trumped up racial superiority tripe.

Such as superior preparation and tactics during the Great War. They put out the Empire's eyes then syphoned off a great deal of its strength before they ever made their move. They acted decisively, taking advantage of the Empire's complacency and confusion to win early, important victories. They also put the Empire into a situation where it had to sacrifice parts of itself for relatively short term victories.

The elves got what they wanted because they targeted specific weaknesses and, with some glaring exceptions, fought a smart war.

And while that is admirable, it is hardly a uniquely Altmer trait.

Nords are not boring? They are famous for have shite leaders anyhow so I cannot blame them. Imperial is a race, if it wasn't it is now. They have completely different traits now. Enough to be separated as a different race.

The only races which aren't obvious in their differences and need good eye to determine are Bretons and Imperials.

Lol I remember how much the butthurt Nord haters on Bethesda argued to death that this guy wasn't Nordic. Especially this one dude, "Cider!" I can only imagine the salty salty tears when TES confirmed he was in fact a Nord. One of the few good things TESO actually contributed to lore.

Only if you've read none of the lore. I can provide essential links if you need them.

Redguards are not boring at all either, breadmax. Hell, in some cases these fuckers are more Nordic than Nords.

I was joking, but when there is a stereotype you its partly true. Like the stereotype which says Americans are fat, which is false, but America has more fat people that anywhere else. (% based).

So while there are smart nords, there are many dumb nords.

What in the actual ****?! Wulfharth, Hjalti-Early Beard/Talos, Ysgramor, and the rest from above. The Nords founded the first and second Empire of Man.

And no it isn't. Imperial exists for gameplay purposes only. Nords, Bretons, and Cyrodiilics are the Imperial races. There are mixtures of these and Tsaesci from Akavir all mixed in and split along the middle of Cyrodiil, but that is hard to transplant into a game, and thus the race Imperials exists.

I literally cannot begin to even, right now.

Dwarves actually seem to be getting a lot done in southern thedas. They facilitate trade between Orzammar and the surface kingdoms, they supply the templars, the circles and the chantry lyrium. Dwarves also are the only ones who can do enchantments with the minimum of risk. No one on the surface can do it unless they're tranquil, or that one elven enchantress in Awakening who joins our court.

They are hired as stonemasons, blacksmiths, and seem to be the backbone that keeps the infrastructure and economy running in many places. They don't hold positions of power like nobility, but they have settled themselves, well the ones who aren't Carta, in a pretty comfortable position in society.

Of course, before I get too complimentary about how well the Altmer prosecuted the Great War, it is important to remember that only a small subsection of the Altmer were truly responsible. A subsection that had to lie their way into power and had to all but destroy their culture and that of their allies by turning the whole thing into a police state in order to get what they needed done.

It was the Thalmor who lead the Altmer to where they are today, and all it cost the Dominion was its freedoms.

That's because the Dwarves are awesome. Bro Tier even. Worthy of the respect and support of humanity...

Yet king Borgas, the last heir of Ysgramor thought it was a good idea to attack Valenwood all of a sudden and was obliterated as a result of a wild hunt. Not only he ended the legacy of nords with his foolishness, Skyrim was plunged into a long civil war.

Cyrodiilics are the majority of Imperial citizens and when we say "imperial" it mostly means them. At least I meant them.
