She's well and truly broken to the point of insanity, now. She used to be about vengeance for herself and the other Forsaken for the state the Lich King plagued them with. She cared about her people. Then Arthas was defeated, and she got a good look at what was waiting for her on the other side, thanks to her actions. Now she just sees her people as meat shields between her and the Final Oblivion that will be her fate.

Combine that with her sister's "betrayal" in the last novel, and whatever remained of her former, sane, self is gone, baby, gone.

Eww gross WoW lore.. And WoW novel lore?! LOL

Count me in as well, as if Orlais was not horrible enough, they want Gaspard on it!

For people who care too much about birthrights around here, such as Gaspard who was the aggressor and started a war over birthright, a great many deal hate Daenerys whom Westeros is her birthright.

Regardless, its good gif for burn them all one. I'm a Tyrell supporter anyway, your winters never come to the reach (the Tyrell land) because its ever lasting summer and beauty, the gold in your gold mines always run dry like it already has and we are the richest family in westeros now. The land will always return, the rose will always grow, growing strong. We also defeated a whole front of Bartheon army led by your "Stannis the Mannis", too bad The mad king fell before we could march on Storm's End, the Baratheon capital. Even then our charm kept us completely safe.

Then why don't we ever hear about any humans being killed by the Chevaliers? Funny how it's always elves that get killed and never any humans that break curfew.

The Targs practice the sucession law of Agnatic Primogeniture since The Dance of The Dragons civil war so no its not her birthright, The Throne is Stannis's by law by both the new line established by Roberts Conquest and the old line of the Targaryens through his Targ Grandmother.
You were outside storms end and laying siege to it for a year and Stannis held out against your whole host during that time.
You only beat him in Kings Landing because you took him by suprise, but he will claw his way back.
I'm a fan of Stannis but I would prefer others to take the throne, would be upset if he died in the end though.

My fav character is dead now, RIP Tywin =(
Anyway i'm hoping for Queen Sansa and Chancellor/Prince-Consort Littlefinger to take the throne myself though, doubt it will happen =P
But seriously i'd rather anyone but Danysue

Well Tyrells won the only victory before mad king fell, rest of his forces lost. BTW you do realize part of robet's legitimacy comes from him being partly Targaryen right? same applies to Stannis. Otherwise he would have been an outright usurper. Westeros is Targaryen birthright.

What about Dany and jon snow? You have heard the rumors about who he might be right? I think he needs to burn first so that we can see if there is any truth to these rumors. Clever michael has put him on coldest place so we won't know anytime soon.

Yeah I know they're part Targaryen, I mentioned that in my original post lol. Thats why the throne is rightfully Stannis's, because the sucession laws are Agnatic Primogeniture and they are the grandsons of a Targaryen and cousins of Aerys. Westeros is Baratheon birthright now (By the Targaryens own laws mind you)
But they are part Targaryen anyway according to rumor, The First Baratheon Orys was actually Aegon's bastard brother through the male line.

Anyway even if you believe that the throne is rightfully a Targaryens then she still isn't the rightful ruler because

Spoiler

I dont wan't Dany on the throne in any capacity at all. I have heard the rumors about Jon yes, I'm pretty sure the immune to fire thing is exclusive to the show and not actually in the novels though.

Jon by himself /with a different Queen though.......Ehh maybe, I wouldn't say i'm exactly thrilled by the idea but im not against it. He's a bit to Stark for my liking though. The show version of Jon snow though? LOL yeah no, wouldn't let that guy with 100 miles of the iron throne.

Targaryens are not "immune" to fire. I mean they somewhat are but not immune to bloody molten lava. Only regular fire, even then their hair is burnt nonetheless. Only that part is in the novels and I think Martin confirmed it that they are not immune, only highly resistant.

If they were going after criminals, why only go to alienages? Why not other parts of the city? Going into a ghetto clearly implies its just to kill elves not criminals. Imagine this situation in real life: in order to become a member of the special forces, you have to kill a black person.

Don't forget how if they really wanted to kill criminals, why are they getting drunk? If they are going after criminals who would likely be armed, it would be better to be sober. The fact that they are drunk clearly means they don't consider the situation a threat and since they target the alienage, it is clearly just an excuse to kill elves.

Umm...I don't think that'll work in real life. Since african americans don't have to deal with being segregated by racism of others. A more accurate comparison would be native americans because most them of live in reservations (by choice granted, I happen to know some very cool Native Americans. One was going to college, a Navajo I was acquainted with designed video games for the military.)

But the loutish thugs will continue to flaunt the law then!

Oh lets not skulk in the dark no, let's proudly declare we can plot, murder and rob in the ghetto in the open.

Or in Michael the half-elf's case, it was to try and numb himself emotionally so he could advance among humans rather than face the fact that he was killing his own people more or less.

I don't think the chevalier's all get drunk who participate in this barbarism, just the ones who wish to advance and actually do see elves as people. Doesn't make it right, doesn't make it good, and every chevalier who engages in this practice quite frankly suck in my opinion. It doesn't matter their training, skill, equipment or lineage, if killing unarmed city elves, or even unarmed humans or dwarves in the dead of night is the best way to be accepted as a Chevalier, then it's not a position worth pursuing in my opinion.

A gang or bandits would be better targets. It would solve a crime issue, the chevalier actually faces people who fight back, and thus is a testament to their skill or training, and live-action is a better test of skill than late-night slaughtering people who are up late, elf or human.

What? Killing gangs and bandits encourages crime?

How does that make sense?

I've seen people say that Kirkwall's problems were that the mages there had too much freedom and the only way to solve the mage problem is to completely give them no rights and have the Circles become literal prisons. I don't know if these people actually hear themselves.

What he said was that elves out past curfew are most likely criminals and hence not killing them leads to them plotting treason and commit other crimes.

Considering we have yet to see a single qunari Abomination, it seems a sound idea.

Oppose it on moral grounds if you wish but, practically speaking, it would probably be more effective.

You know how when people recap and say things again so that they make more sense the second time? That's not this moment.

So if there was a curfew and you were out late, you'd totally support having someone kill you simply for being out past curfew?

I'm explaining his position, not supporting it.

But that question doesn't even make sense. No one supports having himself killed. That doesn't mean there are not some people who should, quite frankly, just die.

Funny how allying with the mages in Inquisition has everyone say that abominations are inevitable yet no abominations ever occur. Funny how that happens...
