Funny how allying with the mages in Inquisition has everyone say that abominations are inevitable yet no abominations ever occur. Funny how that happens...

Funny how you just completely changed the topic.

"Stricter restrictions won't help.

Logically, they would.

Well, it doesn't matter because mages aren't even dangerous."

Lol I need to cool it before someone reports me  Mods here are a bit sensitive.

Seriously though, I woke up from a nap, saw that **** and was like... "Who are you and what the hell is this?"

Like I said. Common Sense. Me.

What he said was that elves out past curfew are most likely criminals and hence not killing them leads to them plotting treason and commit other crimes.

Right....

The same logic applies to humans as well. Why not kill humans outside of alienages after dark then?

I've seen people say that Kirkwall's problems were that the mages there had too much freedom and the only way to solve the mage problem is to completely give them no rights and have the Circles become literal prisons. I don't know if these people actually hear themselves.

Varric says it well before we even start Act 3.

"The harder she squeezed, the more they resisted and the more they resisted, the harder she squeezed."

But this is an elf thread so I'm going to try and avoid turning this into a mage/templar debate.

Considering we have yet to see a single qunari Abomination, it seems a sound idea.

Oppose it on moral grounds if you wish but, practically speaking, it would probably be more effective.

We have yet to see a Tevinter mage go abomination as well :>

That country is a metaphorical abomination though. Demons said too much crap there to deal with.

Honestly, the only real difference between Orlais and Tevinter is mages rule in one and noble fancy pricks rule in the...

K, it's just the mages. And that Orlesians don't call their slavery slavery. Not talking about mages in the circle, as that's a different issue and I stand with Vivienne on the subject

Nobles are nobles anywhere. The only thing Orlais and Tevinter really have in common besides that is that both countries are terrible. For vastly different reasons.

If it's to kill feelings like the german "swat" equivalent does with chickens they raise, then it still defeats the purpose to do it drunk. You can't even stay sober while you're being a douche. Makes you a puss.

That insulting to cats man.

Yeah Chevaliers kill people out past curfew in the slums.
Whereas Tevinter nobles kill them behind closed doors for blood magic sacrificial riturals

But no those evil damn Chevaliers tots' take the cake there.

Chevaliers can also rape whoever they want. Talk to the Orlesian merchant in Denerim in DAO who was forced to leave to Ferelden because a chevalier wanted to rape her and she had to allow it since chevaliers can do that yet her brother killed the chevalier and thus the two had to flee to Ferelden.

I find the constant high-horse attitude and multiple levels of hypocrisy more revolting in comparison.

Especially for the seat of the so-called "true Chantry".

Nah, I think I'll roll with seducing elf wimminz. You keep whatever philosophical message you're trying to convey.

In my characters case it's wicked Dalish Temptresses seducing innocent Chantry boys.

Heh

Just as Tevinter nobles can rape their slaves. Well they wouldn't consider it rape im sure, they're slaves after all...

If I called out a Magister for owning slaves, they'd probably respond with "Yeah. What are you gonna do about it?"

If I called out an Orlesian noble for the same, they'd not only deny it's existence up-and-down, but also the occurrence of Orlesians selling elves to Tevinter.

And, above all, the fashion sense.

If you called out a Magister for being a Maleficar they'd deny it or its widespread existance in the Imperium up and down.
If you pointed out all their rulers are mages, They'd call it coincidence
Heck if you asked what happened to one of their dissapeared slaves they'd probably tell you they freed them

The fashion sense is present in both countries, Though damn if the Imperium isn't so much more stylish

They'd deny it while doing something nefarious right in front of your face behind those cowardly ass masks of theirs then laugh about it over brunch later.

They'd certainly deny being one themselves, yet all too happy to reveal which of their political rivals totally are maleficar :>

If you pointed out all their rulers are mages, They'd call it coincidence

I actually don't think they would, realtalk. Literally no magister we've ever encountered or read about would even care to sugarcoat this :/

Heck if you asked what happened to one of their dissapeared slaves they'd probably tell you they freed them

Or sold them.

You did not.

How dare you even say this... in your beige pj's.
