It could be like...The Neverending Story...
I'm still holding out for him being able to change into a wolf.
I'm kind of scared by the last part, if Flemeth still wanted to pass Mythal's essence to Morrigan how does that work if Solas absorbed it? Can he just let go of it after he completes his plan, does Morrigan need to absorb it from him like he did with Flemeth, does he need to die in order to let Morrigan have it? I'm confused ![]()

...gosh I hope not. I still doubt Flemeth is dead, so maybe there is a way to avoid death? He could do what she did (I'm sure she did something to survive)
I think the god spirit is what she pushed through the mirror (maybe it'll float to Morrigan), and Solas absorbed the last spark of her power or however it's worded in the spoilers in the first post.
...One of my initial reactions to the stinger was that the PC may have to kill Solas. If this is true, that's looking pretty likely.

Romanced Lavellans will become pregnant with Solas's child and he will die and be reborn in the child. This is a tale as old as religions itself. It could happen!
Yeah, I should probably keep this to actual spoiler theory. Sorry. ![]()
I wonder if that is what Flemeth was doing with the eluvian before Solas arrives. In my game I didn't drink from the Well, and when Flemeth was summoned she passed on some knowledge or other to Morrigan. Could that be it? Not sure if that happens in an Inquisitor Drank playthrough. I'm not sure I can bring myself to actually drink now, either.
This isn't really new but if Solas is part of whatever inevitable change is coming, that would mean there's no option to stop him. Whatever the protagonist does would be a reaction, not something proactive. If it can't be undone, there may be no point to killing Solas as part of the story.

It was only a small banner

you really ![]()
Ooh, interesting info.
That said, don't panic yet people. Design notes are almost always written loosely and the wording of them is usually not worth over analyzing. [See, Liara's introduction in ME3.] The main take away from this is that:
- Solas is not mind controlled by Flemeth
- Morrigan will eventually have possession of Mythal's spirit
- Solas did kill her, but Mythal knew he was coming
Nothing else is really new. The Morrigan info is arguably more surprising.
What if drinking from the well means YOU get Mythal's power and can become a god. One can dream right? Anyway, it'd be cool if romancing him has as big an effect on the story as having the OGB does in DAI.
I was thinking about it too. I would like this. Give me this. ![]()

Oh I hope that's true, I forgot that it seemed like something did indeed go from Flemeth to and through the mirror. It would be a lot more comforting if Solas didn't carry an extra god essence with him but only her power and that Flemeth gave the other part to Morrigan as her final act.

That is pretty much what I thought. A dragon with a beastly look.

And get frozen, possibly.
Liara's design notes for her intro were very ridiculous. I can't remember them exactly, but it went into excessive detail about how attractive she was and how awestruck Vega was by her. Which, of course, did not actually have anything to do with the scene in question. It read like really bad fanfiction.

I think it's what she put into the eluvian at the beginning of the stinger ![]()

I remember someone saying the devs wanted to move away from allowing players to make such huge decisions where the lore is concerned. I have no source though, so take it with a grain of salt.
Ooh, interesting info.
Spoiler
You're right about nothing being really new. It does change how we craft theories, if it's true. Knowing that Solas killed Flemythal and would likely do worse to achieve his goals means we're no longer saying "if" Solas would go that far.

This is nothing like Mac Walters's hardon for Liara. =/

Oh no please god no :| There is something ultra creepy about that.

That's what I thought as well, because of Sandal's prophecy. It sounds inevitable.
Soo.... We'll be able to save him & live happily ever after right? ![]()

I'm really not suprised that Solas did take her power intentionally, and that she was cool with it. They are both Chaotic Neutrals/Goods in terms of morality. They have been BFF for like forever.
In their minds it makes sense.
