You know what I fear?

Remember when the ending to ME3 got leaked and they changed it and it was the worst thing to ever happen to the world? What if they do the same thing and we end up with some horrible story wrap up?

Please don't do this bioware. I'm really serious. Like you got me back with Dragon Age Inquisition. But if you throw another ME3 ending at me I will kill myself. I cannot go through another disappointment that huge.

On an unrelated note I've been holiday drinking and reading fanfics all day. This is really great.

But the ending wasn't leaked, only some info about Solas.

It should be OK :<

Not too surprised by this, I only hope that Bioware doesn't screw it up

Kind of weird that he'll "kill anyone" though

"Even if I kill you, what we had was real" or "You were right to be angry, I hope, when I kill you, you'll understand" won't make me happy :P

Something I have been pondering...

"She has nurtured that spark, and knew that Solas would need it."

How did she know he'd need it? Surely if she cared only about restoring elven glory, she could have started to work on that plan a long time ago. I doubt it is just about releasing the elven gods, if they are the ones she wants vengeance upon. Merging the fade back to the 'real' world seems a possible goal. Or maybe, the plan she and Fen'Harel originally started hasn't actually reached completion yet.

/fingertent

[ Or, it could be the two phrases aren't related. She nurtured the spark, and then upon seeing Solas knew he'd take it from her. ]

I think she knew that Solas would come to her, so she decided to give him what he wanted, thus she nurtured the spark so he could have it.

I feel like we are kindred spirits.

But yes, let's not tweet Weekes and hope that they don't change anything, unless it's changed to make sure we get an extra romance scene >.>

Oh. my. god. I had no idea that's why the ending of ME3 was so horrible...

Please don't let us get Starchild-ed.

Is it bad that I felt that was exactly what he was saying at the end? "Don't forget I loved you even when I'm destroying you and everything you love."

She probably knew his orb was gone forever after he gave it to Corypheus.

It's weird to me that she just... gives up at least one of her own goals (unless she was lying about revenge?) so Solas can have her power. Elven glory doesn't seem to be one of Mythal's goals, even if she's willing to die so someone else can try restoring it.

Mythal's actions make me wonder if she thinks Solas' goal is worthy. It doesn't seem like her to actively nurture something that Solas would use to do bad. FleMythal is clever, if she wanted to find a way to thwart him she probably would have. Instead she did the exact opposite.

So I wonder, does that mean that Solas was always going to go after her? It sounds like she knew this would happen for a while but that's strange because Solas seemed surprised to hear she was alive, didn't he?

Maybe she can't have her revenge until the Elven gods are unlocked? If whoever murdered her was locked away, it'd be towards her own goal to see them released so she could murder them back.

I think that the revenge is Mythal's. I can't remember where it was said, but wasn't Mythal's desire for revenge transferred to Flemeth? I need to watch those scenes again. If I'm right, I think that Mythal's revenge will become Morrigan's revenge in the same way.

I will likely repeat my self from the Solas thread, but I feel the need to sum up my rather messy thoughts. I also have not read all posts in this thread yet, so I apologize if I'm repeating anyone else.

Something big is coming - bigger bad. I think it is connected to the blight - maybe. If Solas wants to save the ancient elves it is something that is threatening them. If he wants to restore modern elves to past glory, it's a threat there too. Flemythal knows what the threat is, she wants it dealt with too. So it's probably bad for everyone.

I can't remember where, but someone from BW once said humans in Thedas are corrupted - maybe they are, more so than non-pixel humans? Their mere existence might be a problem or a hindrance to whatever Solas is going to do. Modern eleves are not what they should be, dwarves are not what they used to be and qunari might be a crazy genetics experiment. Scary if Solas is ruthless enough.

Solas, seen in light of the spoiler, is not only morally all kinds of grey, but is a man on a mission. We knew that, but now it has real weight.  A strong sense of purpose coupled with greyshaded morals? This has a fantastic potential for complicated, even more than I originally thought. Personally I love it, but I do hope there is a redeeming path. Drama is coming!

Yeah, it does strike me as odd. Then, there's also the fact that Solas is weak without his orb or the Mythal spirit. I can't say if he's weaker than Mythal, but surely she could have given him a run for his money if she really wanted to resist him? So it has to be a goal she approves of.

Yeah, just brush up by watching this. Flemythal is driven to seek revenge for Mythal. I think Mythaliggan (no that's lame let's not use that) will take on the revenge.

Flemythal does have an interest in restoring/preserving what's left of the old magic. Maybe his goal has something to do with that? Or how she feels the world was betrayed? Still, I don't think that he has good intentions was ever in doubt by most people. What gets me is that she knows "he'll kill anyone" to achieve his goal and that doesn't even give her pause.

It does sound like she's known for some time that this would happen. I wonder just how long she nurtured that spark so that he could have it?

Yeah. During the Fade scene if Keiran is the OGB. Flemeth was betrayed and wanted revenge which attracted Mythal who was also betrayed and wanted revenge. According to Flemythal, the world was betrayed. Maybe inheriting the godhood (Keiran calls his mother "the inheritor" if you ask who his mother is) also gives her the desire for revenge.

Morrythal.

Thank you. That's lovely. It's elegant and doesn't make me think of Gilligan's Island.

Listen as long as Solas and Morrigan don't end up having to do some kind of dark ****** ritual or whatever. Because Morrigan and her "dark rituals" always have her sleeping with my LI.

No.

In other news, because of this spoiler information I had my current Cullen romancing Mage cannon 1 playthrough drink from the well. For science. Lololol.

SHOOT. Until just now I totally forgot what Felassan said in TME: that something big is coming to Thedas. It was enough to scare Imshael, IIRC. I wonder what he was talking about. Hope it wasn't Solas, and that Solas - as morally grey as he seems now - is actually fighting against that Big Bad Thing. But using methods that no modern person would agree to.

I would love that. I would love that so much I don't even have words.

Yeah, the thing with Imshael was pretty huge. I didn't actually see him as being afraid of it though, unless I misread that part. Felessan told him that 'bigger things were coming', and the implication I got was that it was something Imshael would want to be apart of? Or, at least, something worth dropping current plans for.

Could be Solas. But could also be something else. Whatever is happening though, I would say the DA world is in for a very huge shakeup in the near future, either in inquisition DLC or the DA:4.

If Solas turns into a dragon, I think he should be a white one. We haven't had a white dragon in the game yet.

Oh god, I don't want to be forced to kill Solas. That is just the absolute worst-case scenario.

^(that crab is cute)

Would they really railroad us into doing something like that? I mean, Loghain and Anders...but if Solas is as ruthless as that note says...

Noooooooooo! Team Positive!
