I am on my first playthrough so i dunno if these two weapon upgrades are random drops in tier 3 chests or something you get from mission progression.

Good back to the cradle it is. I made the mistake of taking crit chance over attack % never going to happen again!

Actually, crit chance is good for a mage with flashpoint.. each crit removes the cooldown of the next spell used.. Rift mages get a lot of ways to massively increase mana regeneration and thus cooldown is the only thing that really stops them from spamming spells.. thus a crit build is better.
