Anyone with experience of these know if these abilities trigger on more than your own barrier, on yourself? Do they for example trigger on your barrier on someone else, or someone elses barrier on you, or in Veiled Riposte's case, if you have a barrier up on someone else, but not yourself - and you are targeted.

 

I always seem to leave these abilities right till the end, and then promote. Neither strike me as great as i don't want to (as a keeper) be tanking melee or letting myself get shot in the open.

I believe it's just your own barrier on yourself, but I'm not positive. I've been asked this before in a lobby. I'm pretty sure the return damage is not working as well on VR. I picked up MS once to try it out for the free cast, don't remember it working either but it doesn't fit my playstyle. I'd stay away from them personally.

All reflect damage abilities seem to be broken.

The cool down reduction seems to work but only once per cast.

The freeze on barrier ending ability seems to be broken as well. Or it just hardly ever procs. One of the two.
I'd skip that and the damage reflect until they're fixed.

Mana Surge is working. Hit an enemy with the freeze effect and get free mana cost spell.

Mana surge is a great passive and it definitely works.  Not so much for its freeze proc, which is nice, but for the free cast of next spell.  You just have to understand that your barrier has to completely expire to gain the buff.
