Dear BioWare and Dragon Age's team especially!

 

Thanks for everything you have done. Since sales of the Inquisition goes well, we hope that one day we will see the next part of the series. And there is one thing in Dragon Age series some  would love to see.

 

After you have shown Orlais for the first time, we, chevaliers' fans, ask you to give us in Dragon Age 4 a chevalier follower. 

 

First of all there are a lot of information about the chevaliers in the Dragon Age universe. We have codex entries, armours, weapons, skills and even more of that - in Orlais they are the most important faction, just like magisters in Tevinter or Grey Wardens in Anderfels. Just  imagine how boring the game would be if we only read codex about magisters instead of knowing Dorian.

 

Second point that the chevaliers are one of the most complex factions in Thedas. In fandom chevaliers like magisters – most people see them as bad guys, twirling their moustaches and harassing peasants. Tevinter was represented as Empire of Evil and magisters as Bad Guys, but now we have Dorian who tells us more positive view on his country and his compatriots.

 

We need a person who can represent us all of their controversial nature. We need to understand the chevaliers from a companion’s point of view – which would give us new interesting character and tell us everything about them. Chevalier companion can bring life to the chevaliers themselves like Zevran did that to Crows, Cullen  to Templars, Iron Bull to Qunari and Dorian to magisters. Their interesting personalities enriched the already deep and complex Dragon Age world.

 

Michel de Chevin is the character we welcome as our possible follower because he was one of main heroes in Masked Empire and he is a very complex character. We hoped to get him as our companion after the book like Cole but sadly in DAI we get only little cameo. In the game we know nothing about him (but because of book we love him very much). And he is a deep and complex person that could become  an amazing companion.

I don't in particular pay much attention to the Chevalier sect--no more than any other group--so it's not because I love them that I want one as a companion. I would like a Chevalier as a companion in the next game because as ladyofpayne mentions, having learnt about a faction through codex alone did not compare to how much more interesting the faction became once once a member became a companion. Like with Dorian opening my eyes to more about Tevinter, and even how knowing Cassandra made me more knowledgeable about Nevarra... I think the companion route is a wonderful method of enriching the audience's enjoyment or interest in aspects of the game universe that we might not have gotten to really explore in the past.

 

I would add, that while I love love love our Templar men (Alistair and Cullen), if you're gonna continue with the big focus on Templars, I'd like to see a female one who doesn't care much for the Maker as a companion. I'm glad Meredith was female, but she wasn't really a relatable woman... And it'd be nice to have more than 1 qunari, 1 dwarf, 1 grey warden, etc. I liked having Solas and Sera as companions.

 

Michel does have a rich backstory, so he would be a good choice.
