Preface:  I lke ME1 to ME3 including the ME3 horde mode.  I like DAO but hated DA2.  I only play kb/m on a PC.

I've read about the problems with the PC.  Have the latest patch fixed this game for PC users?

If you're waiting for the patch to end all patches before playing, you may want to hold off for a bit longer. It's a mixed bag for many in terms of issues; some got them mild, some got them majorily, some got pretty much one or two at most both before and after. You might end up with a game-breaker or you might be one of the lucky like me.

In short, if you are worried then wait a bit :)

Personally, I found re-mapping my Key controls before play helped to avoid a lot of the frustrations posted by some others. I also advise practicing with the new Tac-Cam controls somewhat before getting into the battles outside of the starting areas of Haven.

As far as feel and general mechanics of the game, to me it reminds me of SWTOR as I also played it solo. Several large areas to explore; none of the other Players to interfere with the RP. I enjoyed myself there, and enjoy DAI even more.

However, I also enjoyed DA2. In a nutshell: DAO > DAI > DA2, and have several hundreds of hours in all of them.

Hard to say, depends on what you loved in DA:O and what you hated in DA:2.
I very much loved DA:2, and I think DA:I is not as good as DA:2, for the plot is not that focused and alas not that personal.

There are many areas you can go and explore, but they are not necessary.
Regarding the pace of the game, I'd say the dramaturgical high point is not the end. Aside from that I can not really list anything on the negative side. I think the companions are responsive and the events wide-spread and engaging, however you must find your character's own motivation within the game, it offers you various chances, but the choice is yours.

I'd suggest it to anyone, but tastes differ so much. Maybe list what you find important in a game? Then we can tell you if the game has that.

If you liked the first one but didn't like the second one you probably won't like this game. But if you're like me you'll buy it anyway.

Personally, I think it's very much worth it.  Loved Origins, didn't like DA2 at all until very recently, love Inquisition more than I did Origins.

But in my experience, it's always best to wait on a game - doesn't matter how good it is, time will always improve things.  :)

Personally I'd recommend to wait but other people seem to have lots of fun.

I honestly don't know what to say to people who hate DA2, because you're all insane.

You'll either be one of those people who hate when Bioware makes mistakes on DA sequels so you'll automatically hate it, or one of the people who don't give a good **** about the combat so you'll love it.

I played DAO and DA2 on PS3. Preferred DA2 over DAO to be quite honest, Origins' slow shambling combat drove me absolutely bonkers. DAI hit a good balance between the two and pacing feels way better.

I got DAI on PC and have had practically zero bugs or issues. I hate the way the keyboard controls are laid out (my movement keys are way over there, I have to hold down a mouse button to autoattack, and my ability keys are strung out nearly a foot away from my movement keys? gross!).

So I hooked up my Belkin n52te (old version of Nostromo Speedpad) that I use for WoW. I can now auto-attack, "quickly" move (relatively speaking, since I can't disrupt animations  I have to wait for him to stop attacking and put his weapon aside before I can move anywhere), but I can access all my quick keys without moving my hand- combat is way more efficient than the standard keyboard.

I played on release day, still without any bugs, and have been vastly enjoying the game, so in my opinion, it's worth it. Clearly, there's people who have had a lot of bugs, I don't really understand that, but they'd likely say no, it's not worth it.

I stopped telling my friends to get this game after first 2 patches ignored many character breaking bugs reported day 1.  The ignored issues woulda been understandable had they not released a purely cosmetic DLC instead of working out the huge issues game is currently undergoing in multiplayer.  Keys not dropping and many skills not properly working.  Some even breaking in certain conditions.

I can't rightly promote such a scrubbish game as this.  Just can't.  If they continue to release comsetic DLC and refuse to take care of the huge issues at hand, i'll just stop buying Bioware period.

So in short, no.  Don't buy this game untill they take it seriously.  Otherwise I'm sure you'll get to witness tons of cosmetic DLC that breaks the game even more.

Nothing has really changed yet.  The patch didn't solve any major issues and there has been no DLC content released.

There are a few recent threads that ask almost the exact same question.  Since people may not want to repeat their exact answers, you may wish to look a couple of those up.  Personally, if I knew what I did right now, before this game was released, I would be waiting until next summer, to spend money on this.

I should be able to play it on my rig but cannot. None of the patches have helped. The last one made it worse.

Lol, even on bioware's own forum people are suggesting NOT to buy DAI. This is just hilarious. :P

In a word, no.  I have a killer PC and it handles the game alright and many of what are being called bugs and glitches are purely the way the game was designed.  IMHO, they were trying to make a game to be all things for all people and the result isn't pretty.

The multiplayer is excellent when the key drop glitch isn't happening. Wait for them to patch it, then buy the game because honestly the MP is so fun it makes the whole thing worth it.

Oh ... the hourly crashes are a design decision?  Who knew?

Probably because most people who enjoy it are just playing it. I'd do it too, if only the PC wasn't taken by my husband to play the game.

I am just contemplating buying it for xbox, so I can play it too.

(to coldflame)  Oh no, I recommend buying this game because I consider it really good. I just feel it is only fair to warn people that they might end up with as severe an issue as unplayability and leave it up them to see if they want to play it before a patch regardless.

Hm, i both enjoy SP and MP (i have never met the Key-drop glitch). Besides some bugs and glitches that i will not mention here i think the game is pretty okay. I am one of the 'few' that only had a few crashes, about 5 crashes in 150 hours play.(i do think these are to blame at server side due to bad connections and the game reacting on that with a shutdown).

What i DO know now is that i will not again buy a PREMIUM or DIGITAL DELUXE game from Ubisoft because the extra content is not worth to mention.

But on average i am not unpleased with the game.
