This game is a Mass Effect clone rather than a successor to Origins. If you're looking for the tactical and strategic depth, and consequential choices of Origins then this isn't the game for you. If you want linear story without any interaction on its direction, like simplified combat and own a console controller then you'll enjoy the game. Hope this helps.
Is it worth it to get this game now?

Yeah, it is a Mass Effect clone with the aliens, space, guns and all that. It's like someone swapped the scripts!

In short yes its worth getting
In my opinion DAI despite having some issiues is best game of the franchise, but yeah there are some problems as well kb+mouse controls are kinda badly done(it works and is playable once you get used to it) but they will suposedly be reworked to some degree in next patch, some people experence unstabilities and crashes(cant rly say anything about that myself since i havent had any problems with it) and ofcourse there are some bugs as well.

Preface: I lke ME1 to ME3 including the ME3 horde mode. I like DAO but hated DA2. I only play kb/m on a PC.
I've read about the problems with the PC. Have the latest patch fixed this game for PC users?
I can only speak for myself: I'm on a PC with a mouse/keyboard, I'm a Bioware fan who loves BG, NWN, KoTOR, Mass Effect and DA, (all releases included), and I wouldn't recommend Inquisition right now.
I'm sure it'll be good later on, but right now I really really dislike the controls, UI, menus, HUD, everything that is "PC related" is a disappointment to me in this game.

If you went to a Skyrim forum, the vast majority would recommend buying it. DAI is a bad game, tolerated by a few diehard fans due to the lack of RPG competition.Probably because most people who enjoy it are just playing it. I'd do it too, if only the PC wasn't taken by my husband to play the game.
I am just contemplating buying it for xbox, so I can play it too.

Balderdash. DAI has been fine for me, as well as for relatives that have stopped by to visit; get some hands-on time to see how they like it.

I don't know, Skyrim is about the worst game tagged RPG in my book. So if you ask me if I recommend it? No, I would never recommend it to anyone.
Still there are people enjoying it. I don't personally understand it, but oh well. Preferences and tastes differ.
I was told, that that game came out very bugged and the best part in it is mods that is not made by the publisher. *shrugs*.
Definition of RPG and 'good game' is very subjective.

No better wait to be on sale or that there're a lot of mods.

Maybe now but I was on that forum at release. The mood was not positive.

Skyrim is a fairly bad game without mods. DA:I is not supposed to get mods though.
I've spent about 60 hours on DA:I SP, first 15 were fun, the remaining 45 were a slog. Wish I'd stop earlier and just watched the ending on youtube, would've saved some time. Still I consider 15 hours of fun worth the money. I'd advise to skip all side quests and just go for the story missions if I were to play it again. Some people are not even able to play it due to technical issues - that's 0 hours of fun. So I'd recommend waiting for stability patches just in case.
Overall I'd give it 5/10, definitely one of the least fun BW games for me (ME3 is a close contender though).

This.
For instance, in Skyrim I hated the PC UI as much as I hate the PC UI in Inquisition, but it's not a problem in Skyrim due to the overabundance of mods and the Creation Kit ![]()
Inquisition won't be as easy, so it's really up to Bioware to do most of the improvements, and up to us to give the feedback.
Bioware! In Inquisition I love how beautiful Inquisition is, the environments, exploration, music, sound, characters, CC, and voice acting
but I hate the controls, UI, HUD, dumbed down tactics and broken-down mages ![]()

Yes and the walking mod is also worth taking a look at ![]()
I'm not saying I don't mod Bioware games, but while a game like Skyrim needs 50+ mods before I start thinking it's a perfect RPG, a game like Origins doesn't need any in comparison IMO.
Edit: After completing Origins some 20 times I started using a few mods, am currently playing it with 5 mods. I could do without, which would never happen in Skyrim for me.

It would be cool if that takes off, however I'm sceptical about this becoming anywhere nearly as developed as Skyrim modding community, simply because its much more difficult. Also, most mods I've seen for DA:I so far are related to visuals which are nowhere near the top of the list of my problems with the game.

I played the vanilla Skyrim and while it didn't blew me away, it was still exactly what was promised. I eventually added ~25 mods to fix a few minor issues and it became addictive.
The issues I personally have with DA:I can not be fixed with mods though.

It has some bugs here and there, but it's a fantastic experience overall. Haven't put down the game since I bought it and it has such a high replay value, especially if you use the Keep to import your old choices from past games.

I don't know why you're trying to troll me for, I'm offering a simple comparison. DA:I is closer to Mass Effect in terms of how the game plays than it is Origins. OP, the story is a matter of personal taste but it isn't as good as previous Bioware writing. It lacks the morale system traditionally used in their games so lacks morale consequences. The game played on a PC with a M+KB is, at times, unplayable but if you own a Console controller you'll find it a lot easier apparently. The Romances are incomplete as is Skyhold. In short, if you watched the leaked alpha footage, that is not this game. Magic has also been over simplified. If none of this is important to you then there is fun to be had in the game. But if you're expecting a return to Origins style gameplay and a story that matches the writing of DA2 then you'll be disapointed. I can't tell you if it's worth you buying, I can only give you an honest assessment of the state of the game.

Wait, you think DA2 was the best written in the series?
