Dude, you're the one who started it by complaining that BioWare will not 'question the homosexual lifestyle.' Which you seemed to imply was about gay people having gay sex; as opposed to gay people having straight sex.

...and? I don't see what you're asking.

Take a look at my previous post, I edited it to give a glimpse at what I'm imagining.

And it's a shame that you have no interest in actually discussing the topic and are more interested in "poking" someone. That's what prompted my initial statement.

No, that's considered heresy and treason.

You should be looking for ways to kill those filthy Qunari spies, not bedding them.

Hmm... is it still heresy and treason if you're a dwarf? As far as I know, Orzammar and Kal-Sharok don't have any beef with Par Vollen; and dwarves aren't Andrastian.

Ok so say I'm more the dominant type and romance bull, is that considered taking the bull by the horns?

Spoiler

When I first found out IB is available for guys... and saw those horns... that's the exact image that popped in my mind (grabbing the horns I mean lol)...

I'm a horrible person...

Full disclosure I'm completely heterosexual and thought the same thing, so no harm no foul.

Because having a baby with a flighty, thieving pirate; a blood mage elven pariah; a broody ex-slave with anger issues; or a terrorist abomination is better than a childless gay relationship? Hell, Mama Hawke should probably go to a Hawke in a hetero relationship and make absolutely sure Hawke is using protection.

Mama Hawke may want grandchildren, but at least she's self-aware enough to know that her personal desires for grandkids don't trump Hawke's right to live his/her life as they choose. She respects her adult child as an actual adult, and would never try and pressure her kid to do something s/he wasn't ready for. Not to mention, having a baby because your mom wants grandkids is pretty dang near the top of the list of Horrible Reasons to Have Children.

That's the breaking point for Iron Bull since he's the dominant type. You can ask about it, and if you disagree, you guys will break up.

Who mentioned having a baby because their mom wants grandkids?

And going to have to disagree with you: Fenris definitely doesn't have anger issues.

As far homosexual male relations go:

Kaidan > Cortez > Theron Shan > Blooming Rose's Dwarf > Anders >>>>>>> Zevran > Fenris > Dorian >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Iron Bull (eww Qunari).

Everyone knows that.

Just for fun:

Dorian > Kaidan >>> Anders >>>>> Zevran >>>>> Fenris > Steve >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bull

I've never played any of their Star Wars stuff, so I can't comment on Theron.

I can just imagine how that conversation with Mama Hawke would go. You know, where she "questions" your "homosexual lifestyle."

Leandra: Darling, I've noticed you've had [Same Sex Lover of Your Choice] move in; and it hasn't escaped my notice that they sleep in your room.

Hawke (blushing): I'm sorry if we've been keeping you awake, Mother. I'll tell [Same Sex Lover of My Choice] that we need to be more discreet.

Leandra: No, love it's not that. You see, I've always wanted grandchildern. And with Carver [dead/a Templar/a Grey Warden] and poor Bethany [dead/in the Circle/a Grey Warden], you're my only hope.

Hawke: Goodness, Mother! You are absolutely correct! I hadn't thought about how my romances were selfishly interfering with your right to be a grandmother. Though I'm rather in love with [Partner], I will dump them post-haste and find someone whom I don't love and who may not love me to have children with. That's how much I love you, Mother!

A better scenario:

Leandra: Darling, I've noticed you've had [Opposite Sex Lover of Your Choice] move in; and it hasn't escaped my notice that they sleep in your room.

Hawke (blushing): I'm sorry if we've been keeping you awake, Mother. I'll tell [Opposite Sex Lover of My Choice] that we need to be more discreet.

Leandra: No, love it's not that. You know I want grandchildren, and I do think your lover is a delightful person. But, one hears things... I just want to make sure you're being safe.

And then she's murdered during the pregnancy.

Yup, after sex, you can ask him about it, and he says something like you need someone to take charge in the bedroom since you always take command with the inquisition. If you disagree, you will break up.

i know! There's just no way for Hawke to win on 'Making sure Mama Hawke becomes a grandmother, like she always wanted!'

Might as well engage in some recreational sex, then.

Nonserious response: you f*cked with me first :P.

But I'm actually not. If you approach it logically, Leandra is actually asking whether Hawke will or not, and giving Hawke the chance to talk about Hawke's feelings on the issue. It's a little bit of...wait for it...role-playing.

By the same token, isn't Varric (and a couple other people I don't remember) asking whether Hawke wants to go back to Ferelden, basically forcing Hawke to go back because Varric/whoever else wants them to? The same logic is being used, and it isn't (logic).

By your same token, Mama Hawke should ask the same questions of a hetero Hawk romance which hasn't produced children. Or a Hawke romance with Fenris or Merill, since that would result in elf-blooded children. Or a romance with Anders, since that would be bringing more magic into the Amell line and see how well that's gone for the family line. Or a romance with Isabella, since pirates tend not to make good parents.

I'd be more okay with such a scenario if Mama Hawke questioned your romance no matter who you ended up with in whatever gender pairing; the same way Wynne always has reservations about who your Warden gets involved with.

But that's not your beef. Your initial beef is that BioWare is refusing to 'question the homosexual lifestyle', which you equate to recreational sex without realizing that there's a metric crapton of recreational hetero sex already going on in the DAverse.

That's a great idea.

I definitely do realize there's a lot of recreational sex. But the thing is, recreational sex is actually pretty normal (nonthinkers: HE JUST SAID BEING GAY ISN'T NORMAL) for a "young person." I'm sure you know of the concept of college being the place where you go to party and have lots of sex. However, this is all constructed on the idea that after college...you kind of settle down. You think about finding a guy/girl you can have a family with.

So the crux of the issue is: the "recreational sex" idea is typically portrayed as a stage of life, before you go on to have a family. That's not the same as the "homosexual lifestyle," as I called it, which is permanent (which is why the label refers to something "permanent" like homosexuality, as opposed to recreation--the very term implies an event). Which raises problems for a society with a high death rate (which can also be debated of course).

I'm really not into his 'I know what you need better than you do' schtick. I generally have a problem with people who feel the compulsion to inform me what my thoughts and feelings are.

I feel compelled to take this and devolve into snark, but you don't deserve it, so I'll just say +1.
