I tried it out during character creation and it sounded, I dunno, more strident, I guess? The British accent was much softer.

Male American voice, I didn't really like. Bit too... dull? Then again, haven't done a full playthrough yet. Can't judge.

Eh the American male voice sounds more emotive and Sumalee really nails the sarcastic lines imo.

It depends entirely on the character. Mine uses the British and it's very well done. I've also seen video of the American one and I thought it was well done also, just not suitable for my character.

I think all the accents work depending on the character you want.

Lately I choose the British accent soley based on the American accent sounding completely bland. If anybody remembers ME series you know how bad Male Shepherd voice was. It's seems the same here to me. Am I the only one who thinks this way?
If by "bad" you mean "great". I know it's the popular thing on the internet to squee over FemShep's voice and decry MaleShep as bland and wooden, but I've always felt it was the inverse.
As far as DAI - they're both appropriate in some ways. I just think they really missed out on having someone like Keith David as an option for Qunari. What?

british fem voice sounds nice when roleplaying goody two shoes characters for humans. but when i want to make a cruel character, i dont know it may just be me but, i dont feel the bi*chness of my character in that voice. :\ maybe because it sounds so...uh delicate? dont know.
although the fem american sounds perfect for my sarcastic dwarf.
british m sounds ok.. so is american m, i guess. never tried that one.

Completely reverse for me, Ifind the British va much, much more bland. I don't feel like there's the same level of emotion in most of his dialogue, the American voice is much more dominant and actually sounds like a person joking when you pick the humorous dialogue options.

I like the american cause it sounds "marcher"
Basically this. Something feels off about my Inquisitor's voice though. I don't think his hair matches his voice, weirdly enough ![]()
Edit - You know, after some reconsideration, I think I'm gonna give my "canon" Inquisitor the British accent. Something just clicks every time I hear it.

If you're going to make idiotic statements, at least take the effort to get the character's name right. Male Shepard and female Shepard were amazing. Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale are incredibly talented people and the fact that teenagers on BSN groupthink otherwise does not change it.
I was going to make a post about my thoughts about the different Inquisitor VAs, but I am not going to indulge someone who opens with that garbage.

For Male. I like them both. The American fits the Qunari and dwarf for me.
OP realizes that the boring American accent is the same voice actor for flamboyant Zevran right? lol
