I was just in a silver pug with a alchemist

Stage 5, he runs off by himself, I'm thinking this guy is crazy

A minute later I look up and the demon commander is at 60% and this dwarf is soloing it without taking any damage

He's on the other side of the map away from his team

I remember once when I was able to wail on the DC while it just stood there

How do you trigger this?

The "Easy to Miss" passive waives all threat generation on attacks when striking from behind. If you isolate the Demon Commander before anyone gets on his threat table, you can wail on him from behind while he slowly walks around looking for a target. Alchemists also get Sneak Attack early on, boosting the crit chance greatly, and stealth/"Knife in the Shadows also guarantees a crit chain for the entire first normal attack combo out of stealth. With all that, you can drop Demon Commander pretty quickly if the rest of the enemies leave you alone. Doesn't work on Venatori or Templars, though, because Templar Commander has break points and the Venatori Commander will use Fade Step when attacked at melee range.

Very carefully. Also with something that has range or an evasive roll or something.

If you have aggro, just run, and about about a second into the little swirly aura around you, you jump.  Then if you are a reaver, you do a 180 and pop rampage, then proceed to own it.

btw. you can easy kite demon boss around with a tank and your teammates can attack him while doing that (hes very slow so you can use that against him)

Its all about damage, i can solo all the bosses on threathning with archer and assassin without any problem, on perilous i can solo the venatori commander and templar commander with the arcane warrior, but is hard to reach the boss alone on perilous, its not worth, is more quickly to solo on threathning

I have soloed the demon commander on Perilous. It takes a bit of luck and skill to do it even with an Arcane Warrior. That instant kill attack is extremely annoying, ugh what a pain.

It takes timing, skill, and character know how.

Generally speaking, taking a move that can be used for evasion is a must. So moves like Evade, Fade Step, and Charging Bull. Or you can tank as a Legionnaire using your guard, Walking Fortress, and defensive usage of Payback strike.
