Besides reading game descriptions, I also chose to read and listen more from the Devs about what was coming. Full context. I received what was expected and anticipated, and still have much to explore.

Ok, links please. Quotes?

Some people will always smell flowers no matter what is placed in front of them.  Especially when a purchase of said flowers is made as some are wont to admit they didn't get the best flowers in the world even when they only got the fertilizer.

Does anyone else remember the early gameplay videos showing keep upgrades and management? Which didn't make it into the final game?

Aggressive much?

I'd copy/paste the description of DA:I from the Origin Store but the stupid piece of crap doesn't allow me to change the language to English, so it would be pointless.

They write about a "vast, changeable world" that you can "shape". Eh, yeah. Sure. Where? How?

Ok, how about this, taken verbatim from the BioWare News? "Massive and stunning: Dragon Age: Inquisition features a huge, multi-region open world to explore."

What was I supposed to expect when they talk about an open world? Not an open world?

Again, open world means more than large maps. Read this: http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Open_world

not aggressive just the truth ;)

you can change the world, bridges are build, lakes are emptied, people react to what you did, change spawns, change daytime and weather, conquer strongholds and barricades, build camps etc..........what did you expect, building towns and erupt vulcans? you know the difference between open world and sandbox?

MULTI REGION open world. you can wander around, can explore and discover locations, travel at will and do things not main story related. so yes it is open world.

and no, open world is not day and night cycle, by the wiki definition its the lack of loading screens which make skyrim and even world of warcraft to none open world games ;)

Yeah... the game is nothing like that video. Thanks for proving my point I guess.

Yep, that article is pretty much on the spot. Too bad they didn't say the same on their official site, where they kept the "open world" feature, even after this article was out.

How many of you out there who are complaining about how bad Inquisition is have actually gone and made a better game? Or played a game that hits 100% marks in all the points that are complained about?

DAO, add Mods and voila.

I have to agree with the OP's sentiment. The almost neurotic quality that some (not all) of the complaints possess act to invalidate them as legitimate criticism. Anyone who claims DAI is "the worst game ever" is clearly not interested in providing informative, valuable feedback. Any of the posts that just read as a vitriolic laundry list of cons without depth or thought just for the sake of spewing hyperbolic criticism is little help to anyone. This game is the result of thousands of man-hours of labor from a profound variety of disciplines and then someone just glances at it and scoffs "this is **** because it doesn't live up to my exact fantasy of what the perfect game should be for me specifically!" - It's ridiculous. Is DAI prefect? No. Does it have areas that could be improved upon? Yes. Does this automatically dismantle it as an impressive work of human creativity? Of course not.

That's not what the OP was about at all. I agree with -you- though.

That's EXACTLY what the OP was all about.

I won't lie, the sole reason I pre-ordered the DE version of this game was because of the videos they showed at E3 and whatnots. I stayed away from the forums simply because I didn't want to be spoiled on the game like I was with ToR/ME2/DA2. I thought it would have been a good thing going into the game fresh with no corrupting influences at all.

How wrong I was, to me the game felt nothing like they showed at E3 and other gaming cons, and honestly after beating the game the first time after 90+ hours I cannot bring myself to play another playthrough, I've tried modding, I've tried different races/romances everything. I simply cannot play the game because it is not what I assumed it would be by the E3 videos.

I can't even play the DAMP, which is odd because I played the ME3MP for 187+ hours and all that was, was horde mode.
