Only one toxic cloud can be active at a time (please someone correct me if I'm wrong, tested this a while ago) so your build wouldn't benefit from flask of fire that much. Maybe use flank attack or twin fangs instead of knockout bomb?

I've tried it and honestly it seems to work sometimes and other times not. I've had a maximum of three clouds up simultaniously (you dont have time to cast more) several times, but other times it dont seem to work that well and the two other clouds disappear immediatly. Also if you have more than one cloud up the poison damage will stack.

I've only tried this to farm poison kills which is the only reason I built it. It's actually quite effective together with poison blades (a hit or two, and leave them to die). I get about 100 poison kills each routine run which in general takes about 10 minutes.

Also let me just compliment you on the build. I tried it. I liked it. Works quite well. Thank you.

Knockout Bomb is amazing, I usually run it on my alchemist with toxic cloud.  Sleeping everything in range and then toxic clouding everything is great fun (enemies don't wake up from poison, they just sit there, snoozing in the poison). A good choke point and a fireflask and everything is asleep.

That said, demons are just frustrating as the wraiths don't sleep, and they don't get poisoned.  But for taking out groups of venatori/red templar archers it's ace.

Also team mates, unless your with a friendly communicating group, someone is going to wake up the groups you sleep, no two ways about it.

That sounds awesome. I'd probably get rid of shadow strike on my build for that knockout bomb + toxic cloud combo. However I don't feel comfortable running toxic cloud without poison blades just because they are so insanely powerful, so I wouldn't be using fire flask.

Also it's worth noting that you probably get even more damage done by using shadow strike to reduce the toxic cloud's cooldown.

Good guide

Hunter is to much dead weight honestly. If you want a bow in the party bring the archer, sorry, it just is what it is.

Actually you can indeed spam TC with FoF.  You can spam about 3-4 TC this way.

I decided to try this build to change it up.  Now, after playing this build more last night, it is not quite as effective as I'd like in a PUG.  Solo I think it might fair a bit better.  Even with Knockout Bomb (KB), when other players hit enemies, they wake up soon enough to catch you in the middle of spamming TC, so a higher risk build for sure.

My previous build was based on Penguin Fetish's build (stealth [S], flank attack [FA], twing fangs [TF], poison blades [PB]) which is super effective.  Read: Absolute Beast!!

Next build perhaps KB, S, TF, PB.  As mentioned I know that KB is really not needed, but using it for a change of pace.  It also comes in handy say to assist your ranged units.  If a enemy gets too close to them I'll use KB to buy them some time.

Interestingly enough, I think I will also try changing up my tactics for the Hunter.  Rather than the typical ranged attack I am going to try being more like a stealth/flank attacker.  Using the right passives will add some nice damage and threat reduction to flank attacks.

It seems to be a neat build. My current Hunter is a mess but I will try this build out once I've promoted him.
Though I don't see myself getting half as many crits as the OP does (those leaping shots were ridiculous). I assume he has a pretty high CUN.
