If it came with an appearance modifier somewhere in Skyhold, I'd buy it too.  Something like the Mirror from the DA2 DLC.

This is needed.

No, the toolkit is still in alpha stage and allow only to change texture not mesh at the moment (need more coders).

But modder Adela is already preparing haircuts > http://daitools.free...so-far-t64.html

Please give them some support and help if you can.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. All the new hair look amazing!

I'm pretty sure Sera's hair has physics too. It's like they only gave physics to the people with unique hair. :(. I love he idea of a mirror were you can change your makeup/hair like in the sims. My makeup looks WAY worse than it did in character creator and I can't change it.

At the moment, you can change the make up and other stuff like the eyebrowns because they're texture.

Adela released a small mod for that > http://forum.bioware...2#entry18185493

If you want to do your own, you just need how to manipulate a picture editor like GIMP and draw/color yourself on the extracted texture then repack it into the game.

Check this modder tutorial to know how to :

- install a mod

- unistall a mod

- pack your own mod

I would be interested in this (particularly if it also had a mirror like in the DA2 Black Emporium). However, I would also like to say that I really do like the fact that they have all of the hairstyles available for both female and male PCs.

Yeah, that is great and all but the hairstyles for the male and females are crappy. Whats the point of having both genders if both genders dont know a good haircut from Sera's haircut?

Inspired by early concepts for Dorian, I tried in earnest today to make a dashing, svelte, Count-Dracula/Sirius Black looking Inquisitor... only to, once again, be crushed by the Character Creator's hairstyles. There are less than half a dozen 'long' hairs, two are simple blobs, one looks like grandmother hair, and the last is the half-shaved thingamajig. This same frustration can be applied to all the hair choices. Went I went to apply my dashing mustache, the option of the upturned-twirl mustache is literally, quite seriously, growing out of your Inquisitor's upper lip. No, not the area between the lip and the nose, where other normal mustaches grow. It was comically growing from my lip. And most of it hung suspended in the air, utterly unattached to my face.

Frankly, it looked ridiculous.

We don't need anything fancy, but I don't think it unreasonable or unfair to say that the hair options are underwhelming and that a patch or DLC introducing more variety and more quality would be most welcome.

I agree with most other posters in the idea that a Black-Emporium style DLC would be a neat way to address this issue. There is the question of whether or not this kind of thing should cost money, but I'd rather not touch that. I'd personally happily pay Bioware for their efforts to bring us a solution to the hairy situation we all find ourselves in.

To that end, we should all continue to politely voice our complaints and concerns in the hair-dlc related threads. As I understand it, most of the Bioware staff are on a well-deserved holiday break after delivering this spectacular game to us. But when eyes once again start turning to player feedback, we need to make sure they know what we'd like to see implemented.

I've seen some rejection of that idea in this thread, so I felt that I should mention it; if they add more hairstyles, I would want to keep them available to all.

I think that would go without saying, I can't imagine having all styles available for both genders being an issue for players.

Right now, the issue is that none of the hairstyles are particularly Male or Female. It's nice that they are shred across genders but all of them are very gender-neutral or grossly out-of-place (as many have stated, it's jarring to see so many women in Thedas suffering from male-pattern baldness).

I continue to hope for more and better hair options, and I don't think it's in doubt that, should we get them, they'd be available to both male and female Inquisitors.

That'd be awfully nice of them, but it's not unreasonable for them to charge money for something like this should the team go out of their way to work on it, add more hair features, and add it to the game.

However, unless it's in a patch, I doubt we'll simply be getting 'Hair DLC' on it's own. Many before have suggested it, including myself, but a small Black-Emporium style DLC pack would be a very neat way to solve this issue and others. More and better CC options, more diverse armor and weapon schematics, ability to alter your appearance during the game, etc. And that's something I'd have no issue paying a bit of money for them to add to the game.

IN fact, I believe this this thread regarding the abysmal state of Qunari hairstyles (http://forum.bioware...r-lack-of-them/) Bioware officials said that, while the have heard our concerns, they won't say anything about it just yet for this very reason. That being that people would start demanding that this sort of thing be added for free.

I'd like some hair physics too, thank you very much. It's 2014 Bioware, and only for one more day :P. I'm not asking for Tomb Raider level awesomeness hair (though that would be great), but what we got is just awful.

I'm all for it albeit I would be pissed off about paying for something that should have already existed. But I will still pay for it if I had to. Hell I have donated to modders who make things such as this.

Yes! Because of the awful and limited styles that came with the game, which should never be there in the first place. Besides, a free DLC will go a long way to get back some good will from the fans.

However, I doubt anything will happen. 2015 is DAI maintenance mode and the spotlight is turned over to ME4 marketing.

The hair in this game is incredibly bad. It's like a huge step backwards. It almost feels like it was made horrible on purpose - and that bothers me. The little ponytail and the bun could be okay in theory, but for some reason they chose designs that look unnatural and totally plain. If you do something, why not do it properly? It can't be about recourses. I refuse to believe no-one noticed how bad the hair looked while the game was still in production.

I play female characters and I want to have a stylish and feminine hairstyle that supports role-playing. And having to look at Josephine's and Morrigan's way better hair is so annoying. It's already in the game but the players can't use it.

Every nice hairstyle from previous DA games was dropped. And now that I see how the Anora-hair is also already in game, I'm even more annoyed.

Why does everyone keep saying they're mad they can't have Anora's hair?? I haven't seen her original hairstyle once in DAI?

This thread has a screenshot of an enemy who has that hairstyle.
