So I've done everything in this instance, I've even gotten all the elven messages/runes and finished the quest but the instance is still showing up on the world map. Usually instances disappear after you leave them. Did I miss something or is it not supposed to vanish?

Oh, that. Mine didn't vanish after I finished completing the area. I suppose you can return, but I haven't...
