Since everyone else seems to be doing this. My characters' names were Riley Lavellan and Liara Cadash. The meanings are the black chick In my pic and the blue chick in that other thing.

I never knew that the goddess from Mass Effect was named after an actual thing. I just assumed it was derived from 'Athena,' since there is a lot of ancient Greece influence on the lore for the Asari.

Really, Legend of Lagaia was one of the first console RPG's I've played and I really like the main character's name.

 

Otherwise I try to incorporate some reference to Final Fantasy names (Cid, Vincent, Zidane, Locke, Biggs, Wedge, Tifa, Zell, etc)

Florence Trevelyan. "Prosperous, flourishing." Thought it was a good name for a young woman with a title. I'm also a fan of Florence + The Machine, and was listening to them a lot at the time.

 

Beatrix Adaar. "Voyager, traveler". Thought it was a good name for a child born of Tal-Vashoth. It was also the name of the previous Divine (Beatrix III) who was likely in power when Adaar was born. I headcannoned that her parents intentionally named her after the Divine. 

 

As for rating yours, I'm not sure how I would. They're personal to you. I can appreciate the thought that goes into making each name meaningful.

My Rogue is Marcus Trevelyan. Marcus is related to Mars (God of War) and he was expected to grow up to be a Templar. Instead he turned out to be a disappointment - a carefree Rogue who only cares about being cunning, charming, and free to do as he pleases. Politically he is most in alignment with Leliana, who really should have been a romance option. (really - why do so many romance options finish their lives as lonely people if a PC doesn't choose them?)

My Mage was Zephyr Trevekyan. I named him after my Highlander/Lynx kitten who ended up having FIP and died at 5 months =(. He was fluffy and white (like a cloud). He is a Lightning/Frost mage. I can't believ how much I loved that little guy in such a short amount of time. So I usually name one character after him.

The game named mine for me (with no option to change other than to start over); guess I clicked too quickly...  

 

If I don't roll with Eno Detah on my second playthrough I'll likely go with Fitzgerald the Imperiled Herald.
