There is a gold mine of speculation and theory based on in the games and the books, but they barely see the light of day. They get buried in character and romance threads or quest help threads. Just in scanning the first couple of pages of the Scuttlebutt and Story, Campaign, and Characters forum I found seventeen threads that would easily suit a Lore forum.

So Bioware mods/admins/devs what I'm asking is if you could please provide those of us who are interested in these topics a specific place to discuss these Lore-related topics so that we can actually see them, comment, and offer our own theories.

I would love to see this. I have yet too read the novels so, there's plenty of lore that I'm unfamiliar with.

a "whole-series lore forum"?  I've often thought that myself.  Masked Empire and Asunder and The Calling add so much to the series, and there are things that crisscross all the games.  Most of them just wind up randomly in whichever game forum is the newest.

Exactly, I got to the Wicked Hearts segment and was like what the what. Had no idea who I could trust or what their political agendas were.

Agreed. A whole lore series forum would be great.

I've read all the books except for The Masked Empire, so there was a lot of context I was missing when doing Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts. And I read Asunder something like two years ago. And it was a library copy so I can't just go up to my bookshelf and check for things. There is a lot of information just on the Dalish that is scattered over three games worth of forums, and I remember even in Origins thinking that it would be nice to have a Lore forum for just for all the speculation about the gods and elven history. Same for the Black City, the Fade, the history of the Wardens, the taint, yadda yadda yadda.

Inquisition especially brings a lot of theories together and reveals a lot of things but those things also lead to more questions. Which then get buried. <_<

Agreed.

It works well enough on the TES forums and would be welcome here. I think we're at a point now where a Lore subforum could be sustained.

100% agreed.

The reason I enjoy Elder Scrolls lore so much is partly thanks to the enthusiasm of the community, and that's encouraged by the developers with lore sections on their forums. I have found it difficult to become too invested in Dragon Age's background, and have only really had my interest fully peaked when reading speculative comments on here. A whole sub-section would allow people like me to dive headlong into the world you spent so long creating, as well as pleasing those already deep into the lore.
