Sorry but you don't get "interactive discussion choices" about someone's gender. Krem is male, and you do not get to decide he is female. It's none of your business.

I imagine the reason you can't start calling Krem a she is the same reason you can't just start calling Dorian, Solas, Varric, Cullen, Cole and Iron Bull she's.
Just like Krem, they all gross cooty covered boys.

"hey, Dorian's dad tried to fix him up with blood magic, have you ever considered having a magister rerout the plumbing?"
Since the questions already make you sound like an Ignorant jackass, rather than the respectfully curious I was hoping for, they might as well have gone all out.
I think the tone they took with that conversation is unfortunate. They had an opportunity to make it a respectful dialog about a subject many players may not know much about, and instead made the choices that could have been enlightening as uncomfortable as possible.

Interactive isn't a bad thing necessarily. Interactive can also mean a scenario where this behavior annoys Krem and she kicks your ass. Then we all have a funny scene, like Aveline kicking Hawke's ass.
Or whatever. Anything can be done. It has nothing to do with changing other characters. Just your own character.

When the Inquisitor originally finds out when meeting the companions, I'm glad I picked the "did you always know?" Option instead of any of the others. The others just make him sound dumb and ignint
You have to remember transgender is not much of a thing down in the south think of it from a perspective of someone who has not seen someone like that before the only two places that we know of that has transgender people is tevinter and the Qun.
I feel the inquisitor comments where not ignorant or offensive since the concept is pretty new to them.

Oh that Aveline, he was so uptight and he was always trying to tell my Hawke what to do.

He was hot though. Still wish I could have romanced him.

You can't. Why? Because Bioware said so.
I honestly thought the conversation was forced, awkward, and unfitting for the setting so I just end it quickly. I went through the whole beginning of the game thinking that Krem was a man, so they should have just left it at that.
Like, I'm saving the world. I don't give a heck what you want to call yourself.

I guess I assumed I would be more polite and these were ways of getting to know someone.
This is what I thought too on my first play when I picked the option. I avoided it on the second play. It was rather silly of me to pick it in the first place. I usually have the mindset, for my PC as in real life, that certain things aren't my business. If the person wants to volunteer whatever information that's up to them, but I don't usually ask. I felt similar about asking Dorian if he was involved with Felix -- which to me seems insensitive since
As far as Krem goes specifically, he's matter-of-fact about it when discussing his history in Tevinter and I tend to feel that that discussion is really all I need to know about it. Krem is Krem, and the reason why has no bearing, so I don't feel the necessity to ask.

This is a stupid comparison. Aveline neither identifies male nor has male genitalia, which means she and Krem have exactly zero in common within the context of this discussion.

Some people are under the mistaken impression that being able to kick ass is a male trait.

How bigoted and discriminatory of them.

Yeah, Krem and his absolute refusal to sit down normally.
Damn non-conformist, hipster kids. Always jumping up and down on chairs.

Vints are clearly bigoted against chairs. I mean, look at Dorian. The man would rather stand around the library rather than sit in one. Krem has obviously not fully shaken the anti-chair sentiment of Tevinter society.

Am I the only one who gets uncomfortable when people think it's appropriate to talk about transgender people's genitals as if that's totally okay to do about strangers.....?
