I love the concept of the Tapestry and the personalization of the World State for DAI. However, it's all meaningless unless the game connects to the Origin server to get the info that the player has painstakingly laid out. That's where I'm at. I started DAI and played for about 5 hours to get a feel for how it plays. Throughout that time, the game logged in no problems. So I decided to go back and play a fresh up-to-date DAO, Awakening, and DA2 just to have all the Tapestry details worked out and fresh in my mind. But now when I try to login to the Origin server, all I get is the error message. It doesn't matter if I start the game from desktop, from inside the Origin launcher, or if I open browser windows directly to dragonagekeep.com and login in there. There can't be any confusion about multiple accounts because I only have the one Origin account. And it can't be about changed Settings because the login worked fine initially and no Settings have been changed meanwhile.
I've seen speculation that it has to do with the EA servers being overwhelmed currently. But if that's the case, EA should realize they need more servers. And I imagine that the server load can't _always_ be too much at 3 a.m. or other odd times of day when I try starting DAI. So that just leaves some unresolved bug. Given that the connection between Dragon Age Keep and DAI is one of the BIG sales points for deciding to get the game, I would think EA would be motivated to fix the damn thing. But it's been how long since the release now? And still we have LOTS of people with this problem? It's starting to feel like a bait-and-switch to me.
